Description: Sabrina has pale skin stretched tightly across a thin and wiry, yet muscular, frame. She is six feet seven inches tall and weighs 163 pounds. Due to her remarkable height, she can often startle people or cause fear and worry on her travels.
Her hair is blonde in color and stretches to about mid back when let down, not including her bangs which hang in her face when down. Sabrina usually keeps the golden yellow locks pinned up out of her way. Knotting her hair into two buns on the back of her head and pinning her bangs out of her face. Due to the nature of her work, she very rarely lets said locks free, deeming it to risky.
She wears a white shirt tucked underneath a closed, blue overcoat with prominent black and gold-colored lining. Sabby also wears a dark blue mini dress underneath that just barely stretches to mid thigh. She has a pair of thigh-high, low-heeled black boots with metallic plates attached to the nose and end.
PERSONALITY
Personality: Sabrina Slate seems like a cold hearted anti social being at first glance... and maybe second as well. Even if one gets to know her she is distant and a bit frosty externally.
In truth Sabrina's attitude is simply a product of her childhood and choice of lifestyle. Once one gets to know her, Sabrina is a rather outspoken ball of emotion. She locks her wellspring of emotion behind steel alloy doors in public, because she doesn't care much for the constant pestering of the general public.
Despite being a good person, Sabrina is known to interact with dark guilds. Though it is general knowledge, there is no proof due to her thoroughness. She is very precise and dislikes any sloppy job. Her decisions to consort with outlaws seems to suggest that Sabrina is rather crazy or not in her right mind, but it's quite the opposite.
Even as she may seem very emotional or an unemotional brick, she can always reign in her emotion on a moment's notice, clearing her mind and allowing her to make split second decisions based on fact and logic, not emotion. Though some would consider this amazing, she views it as a major nuisance.
Motivations: Sabrina often does things simply for money. She views money as a necessary asset in any situation. This is why she often deals with both legal and illegal alliances.
She also holds her magic dear and is ever trying to get more spells and even other kinds of magic, seeing it as a tool. The more tools one has, the easier things are to fix.
Fears: Sabrina both fears and despises insects, this fear stems from several encounters with millipedes in her younger years. It's an irrational fear that she cannot shake, despite her usual cool.
She also fears the dark, as with the bugs it's an irrational fear, but it's one she can control. It can sometimes overwhelm her, but usually keeps a tight reign on it.
Likes: Collecting small items · Reading · Training · Life threatening situations
Dislikes: Disturbances in her routine · Furred creatures... she's allergic to their dander
Positive Characteristics:
- Alertness (+4): You have finely tuned senses.
Explanation: Passive D Rank hearing, sight, and smell buffs. - Breath Control (+3): You enjoy an almost legendary ability to master the air in your lungs. You may hold in your breath for multiple posts.
Explanation: You may hold your breath for 3 posts. - Diligent (+2): Your meticulousness allows you to analyze minute details that others miss.
Explanation: Reduces training cost of spells by 10% in word cost.
Negative Characteristics:
- Aloof (-1): Your manner is cold and unapproachable, distancing you from friends and strangers alike. Your preternatural intelligence lends itself to viewing others as slow-witted and a waste of your precious time. Your charisma is lowered.
Explanation: You can't act nice to people and you can't make friends easily. - Allergies (-1): You are afflicted with allergies. These may be something as simple as hay fever, but the reactions to such will result in something like a huge bout of sneezing and gasping. You must mention this allergy in your character application.
Explanation: Whenever this allergy comes into play you must suffer the consequences. The allergy must be something that can actually come and not something strange and unique. {Animal dander} - Bad Reputation (-1): You have a reputation that angers or frightens people. Examples include being unlucky, petty, or cruel. The rep may or may not be accurate, but in either case, word travels faster than you do.
Explanation: You can't communicate easily with non player characters. Somehow they've heard of you and the things they've heard weren't too good. - Bruise Easily (-2): Each time you take bludgeoning damage, including that from falls, you take more damage than any other person.
Explanation: You will take extra damage from bludgeoning damage, whether it was done through a spell or not. The damage received from bludgeoning damage is increased by one class if it's a spell. - Compulsive Honesty (-2): You cannot tell a lie, nor can you behave in a deceitful fashion. You tend to be blunt rather than tactful, even if it means insulting someone who you and your companions are trying to impress.
Explanation: You can't lie and you will tell the truth when someone asks you something instead of lying. So if your team is impressing an ogre and the ogre asks if you guys are truly from the guild you guys claimed you were and lied about it, you will screw it up and say the truth. - Derangement/Insanity (-3): Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are permanently insane. You may have a congenital brain disorder, or perhaps you saw something mortals were never intended to lay eyes upon, and it drove you mad. Choose a Derangement/Insanity for your character from the lists below. Though the list is by no means exhaustive, the following options are ones that have been presented in game terms and that have definable--and most times numerical--penalties.
Phobia: A character afflicted by a phobia persistently fears a particular object or situation. She realizes that the fear is excessive and irrational, but the fear is disturbing enough that she avoids the stimulus.
Explanation: Character is unable to face anything that has it's fear. If you're afraid of spiders and someone uses spider magic, you flee. {Bugs/Insects} - Night Blindness (-2): Your night vision isn't worth squat, due to a physiological deficiency. This is due to a birth defect, and therefore cannot be healed by any means.
Explanation: During night time in threads, or facing someone who uses Dark Magic, you have a hard time seeing more than 10 meters in front of you.

HISTORY
History: Sabrina's life started with disaster. She was born to two caring parents, but the evening of her birth, not to long after being dubbed Sabrina, they were both killed. She was sent to live with distant relatives of hers, and being the infant she was she knew not the difference and grew up knowing them as her family. Leastwise, that's what she was told.
What had actually happened was her grandparents on her father's side were both deeply involved in a plot to send the whole world plunging into chaos, but her father discovered this shortly after marrying Sabby's mother. This made him panic and the older couple became suspicious of his nervousness around them. They discovered that he had found out three weeks before Sabrina was born and made plans to kill them before the girl was born, but they had been fed misinformation by the younger couple and by the time everything was in place, Sabrina was brought into the world.
The older Grimm's were livid, but couldn't bring themselves to kill the child as well, and instead took care of her as one of their own, hiding everything from the said girl.
In her late teens, about 18, Sabrina approached her 'parents' about moving out and finding a job and learning magic, and they acted very distressed. So Sabrina convinced them to teach her... though they had limited magical experience themselves, they began to teach her and she discovered the Caster type Paper Blizzard was her favorite.
Five years later, Sabrina discovered her natural talent for covering her emotions. She discovered this because the ones who raised her had began to become mentally unstable, throwing things and magic without focus. This lack of focus and targeting made for many injuries on Sabrina's part, and when she showed discomfort or anything for that matter, she was chased around by the crazed elders.
Not too terribly long after this started happening, Sabrina decided it was time to move on and leave her caregivers for good. She carried this thought through on her 24th birthday and left them without a backward glance.
For the next four years, she trained in the peace of the mountain range near Crocus, building her reputation and earning the name Slate, due to her attitude when in public. She didn't mind the name, quite the opposite actually. She loved it and adopted it as her last name, as she thought Grimm was a bit... to odd.
She now lives in a cave halfway up a mountain in said mountain range, though she's barely there. She has taken up a job of traveling Fiore, wanting to see every bit of it, and speading the helpful rumors about herself. The same rumors that keep people from bothering her.
