Height: 1,77m
Weight: 62Kg
Hair: Black
Eyes: Reddish Hazel
General Appearance: Astrid is tall, statuesque and athletic from jogging and martial arts training. She usually wears sporty clothes, such as pants and tank tops, with at least one black item. She likes her clothes to highlight her beauty and elegance, so they always look stylish, neat and well groomed. Occasionally she's prone to wearing odd fashion statements (such as polka dots) out of a misguided sense of style. She also likes leather, and will often wear a leather coat or a pair of boots. Other than this, her outfit could vary wildly from her usual style one day if she happened to see something she liked.
Extra: Has a small puncture scar just below her sternum and a larger through-and-through one on her left forearm.
III. PERSONALITY
Personality: Astrid is an honest, aloof and straightforward woman who follows her own path, unfettered by bonds that could hold her back or get in the way. Even though vengeance is a quest best taken solo, she does feel lonely sometimes... However, she's not single minded enough to say all she lives for are the dark mages she wants to kill: Astrid doesn't deny her love of art, and just fighting for the hell of it; a good fighter should consider her fighting style as an art, after all. She likes powerful opponents who can give her a thrilling battle and push her Magic to the limit, but is also smart enough to avoid throwing her life away with a hopeless fight. Though she's not the kind of woman to go out her way and risk her life for a stranger, she has enough kindness to help those with noone else to turn to, and displays surprising honor and faithfulness towards those she calls her friends.
In love, Astrid is shallow and unpredictable. She might suddenly go after someone she finds beautiful or inspiring, and could easily change her mind the next day out of the blue. But her blunt honesty often gets in the way of potential romance...
She usually carries herself with a cool and collected, rarely ever smiling beyond a faint smile and avoiding huge emotional outbursts. Even in battle it's hard to ever see her worked up (even when talking about killing people): She takes a very lighthearted approach, often smiling and referring to fighting as dancing. Fighting and crafting art are things that can truly make her happy, and at those moments she is the most lighthearted you'll ever see her. Astrid is incredibly vain, and naturally chose to learn a style of magic she deemed the beautiful. As such, favoring beauty, she has a natural instinct to preserve it, both in herself, her sculptures, and even her enemies as well... With every enemy she defeats she's left with a decision: Is it beautiful enough to preserve in ice, or should she just shatter and be done with it?
Astrid likes to be left alone in silence, and carry out her missions by herself, reacting with hostility if groups impose their company on her. She gets particularly annoyed if interrupting during some immersive activity (fighting, sleeping, sculpting, etc). To her, fighting in a large group is a sign of weakness: She'll be annoyed by enemies clustering together, and will only do so herself in a very dire situation.
Her dislike for large groups is a remarkable trait for someone affiliated with a guild, but she joined Fairy Tail hoping to find a place where she could hone her art and magic in peace. Due to this she's incredibly loyal to the guild, and despite her occasional hostility to some members, will lay down her life to protect it, and ruthlessly annihilate any that threaten it. Her fervent dislike for groups contrasts with her liberal view on art, but those who disrespect art in any way will feel her wrath all the same.
Likes:
- Gems and Shiny things - She grew up surrounded by them
- Ice sculpting - A soothing hobby
- sunglasses - She just thinks they look cool. Anyone who wears sunglasses is cool in her mind
- silence - Easier to focus on her sculpting
- training - She's still too weak... Without training she'll never be strong
- Being alone - self explanatory
- Fairy Tail - Nobody really understands her love for the guild with her constant hostility to its members when they group around her, but she's seldom too far from the guild hall when in Magnolia, and will quickly come to its aid when the need is dire. True to her solitude, she protects it her own way.
Dislikes:
- Loud or grating sounds - Makes her feel uneasy, since sound is one the weaknesses of her magic
- People who avert her gaze - She's big on the "eyes equal window to soul" thing, and finds it cowardly to avert another's look
- Dark Mages - They killed her mother
- Demons - Dark Mages love to summon these
- Crowds - She dislikes crowdings, since she's used to living alone; big crowds are even worse. She can only socialize with a few people at a time.
- Ugly people or things - They will get out of her sight one way or another
Motivations:
- Testing her Magic against, and surpassing stronger foes - Dark Mages are often powerful foes; and only by pushing oneself to the limit can one truly become strong
- Finding a beautiful muse to inspire her art - Like any artist, Astrid is constantly searching for inspiration
- Killing dark mages and demons they might create - She'll never forget what brought her to this life in the first place, and will never forgive those who use magic to cause pain and suffering
Fears:
- Needles - A good old fashioned phobia. Just seeing them sends a shiver down her spine
- Spiders - Small spiders are fine, the problem is really big ones... Too many legs...

(Violence) - Dependent (-3): You have a ward or charge that depends on you, usually a young child or elderly relative that needs you to provide for them and devote at least part of your time to them. (Needles) - Derangement: Obsessions(-12): The character cannot help thinking about an idea, image, or impulse incessantly, often involving violence and self-doubt. These ideas are frequently repugnant to the character, but they are so strong that during times of stress (such as combat) she may be unable to concentrate on anything else, even if doing so is necessary for her survival.

Explanation: Character must think about the target of their obsession one out of five posts. (Combat, Art, and Revenge) - Extravagant (-2): You enjoy living in the lap of luxury. Ale is never good enough if you can get fine wine instead. You aren't happy with anything less than the finest room in the inn. In addition, any equipment or services you purchase cost 10% more than the standard rate for the locale you are currently in. The best of the best always costs more, after all.
Explanation: You will always pay 10% more when purchasing something. - Greedy (-1): Money makes your eyes light up with joy. The more, the merrier, as long as it spends. Once in a while, whenever you're divvying up shares of the loot, being offered a hefty bribe, or catching wind of some fabulous treasure, the flaw can to convince you to grab for as much money as possible.
Explanation: You may act differently when money comes into play. - Intolerance (-1): You have an irrational dislike of a certain thing. It may be an animal, a class of person, a situation, or just about anything at all. Note that some dislikes may be too trivial or ridiculous to count--a dislike of Bavarian-crème-filled donuts or mechanical pencils, for example, has no real dramatic value and will not be allowed.
Explanation: You must act very disgusted and displeased when your dislike comes into play. (Crowds, sloppy appearance - Being ugly is no excuse, loud people) - Judgmental (-1): You form opinions quickly and change them very slowly. You also have a tendency to judge people on their appearance. A man dressed as a pirate, no matter how gentlemanly, is a scoundrel and a dog as far as you is concerned. A man covered in mud is a peasant, and a woman wearing revealing clothing is a prostitute.
Explanation: You must act very disgusted and displeased when your dislike comes into play. (People fighting as a group are weak: She'll chastise strong people she knows when they do so) - Overconfident (-1): Nothing is beyond your capabilities. IV. MAGIC
Magic: Ice God Slayer
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Ice God Slayer is an ancient art of magic that allows the caster to take on the abilities of a god, utilizing the powers of ice. Ice God Slayer magic allows for incredible offense and defense capabilities, along with some supplementary effects as well. The ice produced by the caster are black in color, signifying its different than other ice based magics. The caster is also able to consume any ice around her, revitalising the caster and increasing strength, though no ice that the caster herself has produced..
Strengths:This magic is highly versatile, giving the caster a wide variety of options at her disposal. Being ice, it has a great advantage over water, being able to freeze it solid in seconds. Likewise, Ice God Slayer magic allows the caster to eat even the breathe attack of a similar Dragon Slayer, but not the other way around.
Weaknesses: Being ice, it has a distinct disadvantage over fire and other heat based magics, able to be melted away by an intense flame.
V. HISTORY
History: Astrid was born in a small town of Northern fiore, as the daughter of a goldsmith. She'd been fascinated by gems and crystals for as long as she can remember, which would endure up to the present. As a child she was no different from the next girl, wishing to be a princess and live in a castle... Yet her innocence was lost the day she came home to find their jewelery robbed and her mother dead. The culprits were dark mages... Her father never forgave himself for his inability to protect his wife, and as a former adventuring mage, left on a crusade to atone by finding the culprits, leaving Astrid in her Uncle's care... What he forgot to account for was how similar his daughter was.
Instead of living out her life in peace, Astrid didn't give up until she learned to fight from her uncle, and learned her own magic from books. By the time she was 14, she had just enough knowledge of magic and mostly martial arts to survive on her own quest, and though she was too weak to challenge strong demons or dark mages, she carefully picked out quests her own level and slowly grew in power, killing off low level criminal mages as she encountered them.
At that time she was always stone cold and dead serious, completely obcessed with her quest for vengeance, with a mean look on her face. But as time went on, she began to yearn for feelings other than anger and hatred - Spending time honing her magic by shaping ice sculptures became a refreshing hobby - and as she opened her soul to make art, Astrid felt some of that weight lifting for the first time: She could enjoy a nap under the sun, a little walk through the gardens, or even just a random fight became fun. Life suddenly started to feel better. Though Dark Mages still bring out the worst in her, Astrid's come to a point where even just fighting became fun. Beauty became the medicine for her heavy heart...
In one particular mission she wound up taking care of an orphaned eight year old boy, Matteo (Matt for short) who had been orphaned by dark mages, and the two have formed a brotherly bond, with the boy being one of the few people who can tell when when he should leave her alone.
Recognizing the need for a source of income, Astrid eventually started acknowledging the benefits of joining a guild to gain access to high paying rewards, as well as finding a place to train and hone her art in peace, which led her to eventually choose Fairy Tail due to liking the peaceful Magnolia town. Due to her reclusive nature and dislike for groups, few members actually know her, and she usually only shows up when few people are around to pick up requests but is never too far...
