It symbols a Phoenix, spreading out its majestic wings to the world.
PERSONALITY
Personality:
Daiko is, basically, an eternal bomb. He always gets excited in the danger and great events that appears, and he shouts out wild naivety. Even though, he’s not such a block-head as most people around him would think. Behind the crazy shouts and stupid appearances lays a quite calm and shiny personality. He knows about most things that other people don’t take time to think about. He doesn’t take things for granted and treasure his life a lot, not to mention other’s lives. It’s not that he lacks in capability of expressing calmness, but his boiling mind mostly takes over. So you could say that he’s an idiot, and yet not.
He loves to express fun, especially when battling. He’s not really familiar with analysis or strategies, but goes right in for it. He resembles a burning arrow that’s charging towards a water bubble; completely straightforward, despite the danger. Typically, he hates to lose, but he knows the boundaries of learning from defeat and tries his best to hide his pain when falling. His flames symbols the kind of guy that he is, smooth and wild at the same time. He always feels familiar with everyone around him, even strangers. A shining sun, walking around…
Motivations:
1. Daiko strives to become the best fire mage in history! His flames will burn a mark in everyone's remembrance, sooner or later...
2. Due to all the stories that he'd been told by his mother, his heart desires to meet the bird of fire someday. To stand in front of the bird of all birds, the Phoenix.
Fears:
1. Snakes: He's been close to getting eaten by a snake, when he was younger. 'Nuff said, it did leave thousands of nightmares with him...
2. Rotten Bodies of Humans: He's not really comfortable when looking at a dead body of a person, who haven't been buried (or eaten by scavengers)...
3. Unknown Animals: He lives in a giant forest; besides that, he has a widened knowledge of most animals, except those unknown existences out there. And the more unknown that they are, the more frightening it is for Daiko.
Likes:
1. Raw Food: Nothing better than raw, hunted food from a slain prey..
2. Intense Battles: Whether if he wins or lose, it's easier to take a beating if it's very close between the two opponents. Plus, the adrenaline that bursts ut of him meanwhile, and the unmatched joy that follows when winning after such a battle...
3. Animals: Animals have always fascinated him, and he longs to know more about them...
Dislikes:
1. Poems: Who can listen to poems without trying to break out of the window, or at least have a dictionary on his hand? Not Daiko.
2. Lizard-like Creatures: Even though that he likes animals generally, his likes go to the lizards the least. Guess why..?
3. Pseuds: He can be a little of a pseud, to be honest, but he can't stand watching at other pseuds. Talk about double standards...
Positive Characteristics:
- Fortitude (+3): You are tougher than normal. You can take more hits than the regular Joe.
Explanation: Players have a C-rank endurance buff passively. - Regeneration (+4): You heal very fast inside and outside of combat. Small cuts that go up to one inch deep are healed in the next post.
Explanation: C-rank damage healed every post. - Diehard (+2): You can remain conscious after attacks that would fell others.
Explanation: Allows for 1 A-Rank spell to be shrugged off. Damage is still applied, but no pain is shown. Limit of once per battle. - Animal Affinity (+2): You are good with animals.
Explanation: Self explanatory.
Negative Characteristics:
- Careless (-1): For some reason, people always seem to escape your clutches. You don't understand how that's possible. After all, you throw them into your easily escapable deathtraps before leaving them alone with your bumbling guards while you wander away for no apparent reason. You just can't manage to do a great job at anything.
Explanation: You can never capture a person. This means that any type of request or roleplay involving capturing is out of the question for you. No matter how great you were throughout the roleplay, you will do something that allows the other to escape at the moment supreme. - Night Blindness (-2): Your night vision isn't worth squat, due to a physiological deficiency. This is due to a birth defect, and therefore cannot be healed by any means.
Explanation: During night time in threads, or facing someone who uses Dark Magic, you have a hard time seeing more than 10 meters in front of you. - Trusting (-2): You don't like to believe that other people are capable of misleading and lying to you. After all, people are basically good, right?
Explanation: If someone lies, you automatically believe it. - Colorblind (-2): Though this is a misconception, for roleplay purposes, you see everything in black, white, and shades of gray.
Explanation: You can't see colors. You can therefore never refer to colors in your roleplays and everything that requires you to see a color can't be done by you. - Curiosity (-1): You're a naturally curious person and you find mysteries of any sort irresistible. In most circumstances, alas, your curiosity overrides your common sense. This forces you to investigate something unusual, even if it looks like it might be dangerous.
Explanation: You will walk deeper into the forest you have never been before. You won't turn around from the castle that you have never seen. This can result into getting you into very dangerous situations. - Daredevil (-2): You only really feel alive when you're staring death in the face. Your character is addicted to the thrill of death-defying stunts, pushing themselves to the limit at every available opportunity.
Explanation: You can't refuse the opportunity of engaging into combat with anyone or anything that is stronger than you. You also always volunteer and perform tasks that have a risk attached to them when you are in a group. - Overconfident (-1): Nothing is beyond your capabilities. If you wanted, you could defeat the best swordsman in the world; you just haven't had any reason to do so yet. And surely that chasm isn't too wide for you to leap across.
Explanation: You are easily goaded, and anyone attempting to taunt you will succeed.
MAGIC
Magic: Firebird’s Artifact
Type: Holder
Classes: Defensive, Buff, Offensive.
Element: Fire
Description: Firebird’s Artifact is a Holder Magic that gives the chosen wielder control to use, manipulate, create and charge pure flame magic by the aid of the holder. It works by activating and, if necessary, transferring mana fron the artifact, which is a wild, ancient greatsword, into the body of the user, and then use its power for various purposes. The user can also use the artifact itself for many purposes, such as a weapon, shield and etc. The sword, when not being used, will turn into a sealed, round piece that the user can keep in a pocket.
The flames that the artificial sword generates differ in size and wildness to the user's will, but regularly appear much smoother than normal flames. The blazing metal, as the sword and its magic are referred to as, is very effective against Air and Wood, but in return isn't as effective against Water and Earth.
This legendary sword has been told to origin from a warrior of the Phoenix of Fire itself; although that it's a legend, it suits well for the bird-loving Daiko.
Weaknesses: Beyond the elemental affinities, the Fire Magic is very wild and therefore not appropriate for stealth attacks.
Because that the user relies on his holder to use magic, losing the blade is a critical state for him.
HISTORY
History: Daiko was born and lived in a little cottage, out in the forest, where he was living with nature itself. He’d lived in that house since he was born with his mother, who was a loving but strict mother. Since Daiko has never met his father, his mother had taken care of him on her own, raising him on her own, hunting food for him as that huntress of a mother that she was. Daiko always relied on his mother in the end, until the incident happened. One night, young Daiko discovered his mother’s blood and followed it, leading to her slaughtered body. Since that time, Daiko has grieved over his mother’s cruel death. The only thing he had left from her was a necklace that she’d given him a long time ago...
After that incident, his life changed. He was left alone, out in the wilderness, where he was forced to tame the powers of nature. It was tough and many obstacles were laid before his path, but he managed to get used to the harsh conditions of life out here.
He decided that he wanted to become a strong mage as well, so he could ease his life a little by learning the arcane arts of magic. He didn’t want to stop training every day and he kept improving his strength. After all the things he had gone through, he wanted to become the strongest fire mage in the world. Fire Magic came so naturally to his being, his person. He feels that, even today…
One day, Daiko was travelling into the forest’s core to get some herbs for his weekly herb meals. While he was searching for those, his vision suddenly blurred and went completely black. He didn’t know how, or why, but he passed in the middle of the forest, surrounded by wild animals that could’ve gotten an easy meal. But when Daiko woke up, he found himself far away from anything; except sand. He sat in the middle of probably the greatest desert that his colorblind eyes have ever seen. He didn’t know where he was, or if he was just dreaming, when he spotted it. The bird in the distance that seemed to approach him. He only managed to have an idea of what it was, when he woke up again. He found himself in the forest once more, where his eyes had seen an actual phoenix for the first time.
Besides him was something; a piece of amber. Daiko didn't have any idea of what it was, until the aura of the bird erupted from it, hitting him right in the face. It's heat was intense, and voices of bird shrieks could be heard from it. It was calling for him, longing to have a wielder...
Since then, he longed to achieve the true experience of standing before the bird of fire, even if nothing of this will benefit him. And the artifact of the Phoenix, which he found; he thinks that it's a gift from it, a reminder of his vision…
