APPEARANCE

Description: Tori is an athletic girl, and her figure shows it. Always outside and looking for adventure, she has a lean figure, almost always adorned by her signature denim jacket. She keeps her hair at shoulder length, only putting it up in some type of style for the fancy occasions that may happen to pop up here and there. Another constant is her sword, Hiijin, that is always kept on her left hip, close to her guild crest. She normally wears sneakers, since she is always on the move and needs to keep comfort in mind; the idea behind most of her wardrobe. She is most often found wearing t-shirts, jeans, or whatever is comfortable, but never dresses. The flowy nature of dresses makes her feel unsafe and insecure. On the rare occasion you find her at home, she may wear sweatpants, but only if she has no plans on getting out, which again is extremely unlikely.
PERSONALITY
Personality: Tori is outgoing and friendly to a fault, always with a cheerful demeanor, having fun wherever she goes. She is adventurous, always trying to do something new and exciting, hopefully making a new friend or two on the way. Every great now and then, she'll have a lazy day at home just curling up by a fire with a good book, but these days are few and far between. She is a workaholic as well, always taking up requests from her guild's request board or just looking for something useful to do, either for herself or someone else. Naturally, she has a soft spot for beautiful women, but she doesn't discriminate against men at all. To pass the time when she isn't fulfilling a job of some sort, but wants to be productive, she'll hang out around the guild hall with friends, just catching up on what they've been up to or showing someone new the ropes around town; really anything to keep her from sitting still for too long while doing nothing. But more than anything else, she can be found training. Perfecting her craft is one of the most important things in the world for her, since she cannot amount to anything in this world unless she does.
Motivations: Tori has three main aspirations in life. She longs to meet her one true love, same as anyone. She strives to impress Hiijin, and finally earn her respect. And most of all, she wants to perfect her ice magic to be one of the greatest wizards in all of Fiore. She hopes to one day establish her own guild, and for that guild to be known across the world.
Fears: Tori is afraid of three things in the world. She is scared of cabbage, which most people give her funny looks for. "How can you be scared of a vegetable? She understands it's irrational, but when she was a child, she almost died from food poisoning due to spoiled cabbage, and ever since she has been afraid of it. She is also absolutely terrified of clowns, because the spoiled cabbage given to her was prepared by a clown at a childhood friend's birthday party. The third and final thing may seem trivial to some, but to Tori, it makes perfect sense. Tori is afraid of boredom. That's to say, she isn't afraid of not having anything to do just for the sake of having nothing to do, but rather she is afraid of letting potential experience escape her. No matter what, she is constantly striving for something greater and she'll never achieve that by loafing around and watching her days pass her bye.
Likes: She enjoys training, having something to do, and time with friends.
Dislikes: She can't stand people with negative attitudes, because she feels like they bring down her otherwise constant good mood. She also doesn't like traveling at night, not because of some fear of the dark or anything, but more so of not trusting those who wander around at night.
Positive Characteristics:
- Appraise Magic Value (+4): Your ability to determine an item's worth and your knowledge of magic allow you to determine the exact properties of a magic item.
Explanation: 10% discount at any item crafter.
Negative Characteristics:
- Curiosity (-1): You're a naturally curious person and you find mysteries of any sort irresistible. In most circumstances, alas, your curiosity overrides your common sense. This forces you to investigate something unusual, even if it looks like it might be dangerous.
Explanation: You will walk deeper into the forest you have never been before. You won't turn around from the castle that you have never seen. This can result into getting you into very dangerous situations. - Reckless (-1): You lack the emotion of fear. Unfortunately, it is often an important cue that keeps men from doing foolhardy things. Sure, you don't flinch at the sight of even the most hideous monster, but neither do you feel the need to run away when outclassed.
Explanation: You can never flee from a fight with someone who is stronger than you - Talkative (-1): You have a problem keeping your plans to yourself. Your ideas are simply so clever that you tell them to other people, so that you can watch their astonishment creep across their faces just before they tell you just how smart you are. Your flaw gets you to reveal your plans or evil scheme to the wrong people. There's nothing to prevent you from dropping them into a deathtrap afterwards, but should they survive, then you've got problems.
Explanation: You cannot keep a secret, and thus must announce the name of every one of your attacks. - Short Attention Span (-1): You have little patience, causing you to have difficulty concentrating on repetitive tasks.
Explanation: Spells cast twice in a thread result in the second time failing.
MAGIC
Magic: Ice Make Magic
Type: Caster
Classes: Offense, Defense, Buff
Element: Ice
Description: Ice Make Magic utilizes the moisture in the air and morphing it into all kinds of different constructs, living and inanimate. These constructs can be in practically any form, and can be used either offensively or defensively. The magic is also able to cause others to slow down, due to the nature of being out in the cold. Being ice, the magic is weak to any sort of flame attack, magical or otherwise, but is can resist water fairly easily considering it can freeze quickly.
Weaknesses: Being ice, this magic is easily beaten by fire magic of nearly any kind.
HISTORY
History: Growing up, Tori Lancaster was a much different person than the one anyone knows her as today. As a child in the far north, she grew up in a small farming village at the top of a snow covered mountain. Her family specialized in a special crop that only grew at those high altitudes and frigid temperatures. She was taught to use Ice Make Magic by her grandfather, much to the displeasure of her parents, who wanted her to take over the family farm. When she had perfected all her mentor had to teach her, she left home against her parents' pleas to stay. She traveled to Fiore in search of a place to call home and, although it took her awhile, she found such a place. She made several friends, most with strong wizards who taught her even more than her grandfather back home. Along the way, she lost friends in horrible battles, including her newest tutor, but over time she learned to take away life lessons from the pain of loss and use it as a weapon. After meeting one individual that would change her life forever, she left to train alone on a deserted island, free from the distractions of society and civilization. When she came back, she found her home gone; destroyed in some kind of conflict she was not around to help with. This led her to wander aimlessly around the country, trying to find a new home, one where she could just as easily find adventure for her to grow as a mage and as a person. Tori spent a couple of years just hopping from town to town, pulling in odd jobs to pay for a roof to sleep under and food to eat.
Sometimes it got lonely just wandering about, but she was never entirely alone. She always had her Djinn spirit, Hiijin, to rely on. Hiijin is a genie-like spirit that resided within her sword that embodied the element of ice. Tori believed that she was destined to find the frost spirit, as she had not met someone who was as skilled in ice magic as her. Although, she doesn't much care for Tori and constantly badgers her, Tori believes that one day she'll come around and acknowledge her hard work in the craft of ice. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet, but there is always tomorrow. Likewise, there is a tomorrow of the same monotonous activities as the day before. Another day of odd jobs and another day of Hiijin's pestering, at least until that day. The day that Tori finds a new home.
