II. APPEARANCE

General Appearance: Layla has a bit messy and long blond hair with fire red eyes that goes along with a small shaped face. She appears as a modest size, mid-age woman with a rather tough look. In general she wears dark tinted colors, such as black, grey, dark purple and red. From time to time she add some colors to her clothing line. Her daily outfit is a black, messy t-shirt where the front part is tucked into her jeans together with a short, leather jacket that has a blood red inside, dark grey skinny jeans and suede, burgundy red sneakers. She finishes it with an ear piercing that goes from her mouth to the upper part of her ear on top of five other ear-piercings each side.
Extra: Black eye-patch on the right eye and a black neck collar with four cords attached to it.

III. PERSONALITY

Personality: Layla is a very silent and shy girl, she doesn’t like to be the center of attention and often stays lingering alone where people will not easily notice her when she is in public. Her thoughts are always wandering off to the most random things and she then forgets what she was doing. Even at the most inappropriate occasions this can happen to her. She is always overthinking everything and daydreams about a lot. Even though she is very shy, she comes across as a tough girl who is very confident. The reason for this is her look and different types of piercings.

Layla has no friends, because she is afraid of what they think of her. That is why she is always on her own and most of the time she listens to music to comfort her. It helps her to feel the warmth of a friend through music. She embraces this even more, because through music she can “see” colors; as she is colorblind she can only she black, white and gray.

When it comes to fights and doing requests, she will not hold back until she finishes the job. Layla is very fast and has good finely tuned senses, especially her hearing. But when it comes to choose between two different things, things will get hard for her; she is very indecisive. When she finally committed to something, she can finish what she was doing.

IV. MAGIC

Magic: Palm Magic
Caster or Holder: Caster-type
Description: A form of magic that allows its user to focus her magic power in the palm of her hands. This significantly boosts the strength of the attacks the user performs with the hands, allowing her to strike targets with great force through simple palm strikes. While noted to be a relatively orthodox magic, it is shown to be extremely powerful and effective when employed by a martial artist focusing on palm strikes.
Strengths: The strength of the palm magic towards the user is that the user will have great hand to hand combat with great speed and power.
Weaknesses: Its weakness is long range magic’s or weapons, since you will need to use your bare hands and thus have to get close to your opponent for combat.

V. HISTORY

History: Layla Faye is a 20 year old young woman who has no memory of her past, who she is, where she came from, what happened to her family, she does not even know if she is 20 years old. Maybe she had no family at all and they left her all alone. Maybe they died and she survived somehow. So many questions are always running through her mind and most likely give her life form in someway.

Around the age of 10 Layla woke up somewhere in the woods with no clue of her whereabouts with only some torn clothes, messy hair and an eye-patch. She blacked out a lot and lived there for 3 years with a few flashes of life she can still remember. She was scared a lot and the only comfort she had that time was a small cat that, for some reason, always walked along with her.

Because she lived in the woods for a while she contained a gift for having finely tuned senses, being stealthy and very fast. The reason for this is that she had to look out for dangerous animals and hunters. Trying to survive she had to go hunting herself for food and water.

One day, while hunting, Layla came across a hard decision. She had no food for 2 days already and was very hungry, but a wild boar approached her and was staring at her like he was going to kill her. At the most dangerous occasion she wandered of in her thoughts, trying to figure out what she had to do. Should she face the boar or run away? All of a sudden the boar ran towards her and she made her decision just before he did. She used her palms to strike the boar and defended herself from the boar. For some reason she felt really powerful. This was the first meeting with her magic, Palm Magic.

She has been living around her 13th year of age at a small village somewhere near Hargeon with no idea how she got there as well. She woke up in a nice and cozy house from a very old couple; mr. and mrs. Faye. They took her in and cared for her ever since, naming her Layla because she didn’t even know her own name. When they tried questioning her about who she was and what happened, she never told them about living in the woods for a while and having magic powers. As insecure as she was, she thought this was the right decision to make after a long, awkward silence. Layla often felt lonely living together with mr. and mrs. Faye and stayed inside, because she had no friends. She didn’t know how to approach people and felt more comfortable being unnoticed while listening to music and drinking bubble tea, which she is crazy about.

At the age of 16 her “parents” discovered she had an amazing voice. Layla sings from time to time while listening to music and wandering off in her thoughts, without noticing she is singing out loud. But because she is very shy, she is afraid to sing in front of her parents. Music is her passion and she feels relieved when she sings. It is like she can leave all the questions to rest for a bit.

Now, at the age of 20, Layla recently joined the Blue Pegasus guild. One day, after a lot and a lot of thinking she made her decision to change her life and follow up to a goal she made. Her main goal was to find out about her past, she is really curious about it, but at the same time really afraid about what has happened. She wants to be prepared for it and joined the guild to train her Palm Magic and take on request to finally afford a place of her own. A sub goal of her was to make friends, because she is tired of this lonely feeling she has.

From this day on she entirely committed herself to this goal and she will not give up until she founds out.
