III. PERSONALITY
Personality: The thing that stands out most when people come into contact with Kyo is his explosive and often abrasive temper. Though controlling his temper is a daily struggle for him, he still tries his hardest to stay under control. Those people who are able to look past Kyo's temper may be able to see that he is shy when first meeting people. However, if Kyo is able to get to know someone more, he himself is able to open up as well. Kyo is also extremely competitive. If he finds someone who doubts his abilities in anyway, Kyo will go above and beyond to prove them wrong, even to the point of making a competition out of the simplest things. Going back to his temper, Kyo often tells himself that it his temper that is the reason he will never be good at dealing with other people, and as a result, he should never be around other people. Nevertheless, something in Kyo still pushes him to keep trying. The thing that keeps Kyo from interacting with people more often is not only his temper, but also his curse that forcibly transforms him into a hideous monster if his beads are taken off. He lives in almost constant fear of his beads coming off and transforming in front of people.

IV. MAGIC
Magic: Takeover: Beast Soul
Caster or Holder: caster-type
Description: The caster is able to take the partial form and eventually the full form of different monsters and magical creatures. In order to take the form of a beast, the caster must first defeat said beast and "record" that beast into their soul. The beasts can vary from bird like creatures to fish like monstrosities. This allows the caster to not only fight in a variety of terrains, but also adapt fighting styles for specific situations.
Strengths: This form of magic is incredibly versatile. Beast forms can buff offensive and defensive abilities. This magic can also allow the caster to withstand the harshest environments. Extended use of this magic eventually conditions the caster to be physically able to do more than what other people would be capable of. Since this magic pushes the caster to their physical limits on a regular basis, the endurance and strength of the caster is increased over time the more the magic is used.
Weaknesses: The caster must take huge risks when using this magic. Not only does the caster have to defeat the monsters that they wish to take over, but the caster also risks being taken over by the soul of the monster if the monster is too powerful. Using this magic also puts a significant amount of strain on the caster's physical limits, often tiring the caster out rather quickly. The magic not only strains the caster physically, but since the take over spells need to be maintained, they also can quickly drain the caster of magical power as well.
V. HISTORY
History: Kyo was raised by a single mother for the majority of his life near Lotus town. However, Kyo spent nearly his entire childhood under the watchful eye of his overly protective mother. Though this over protectiveness was not entirely without merit. Kyo bears a curse that was born by generations of previous take over mages before him. The curse is a unique take over form that was said to give power to the wielder. However, the form is a monstrosity. The takeover is also involuntary. But long ago, Kyo's ancestors came up with a way to negate the spell: a magical bracelet of black and white round beads. As long as the cursed mage wears the bracelet, they will not transform into the monstrous takeover. Kyo is the latest young mage with the curse. He had been cursed since the day he turned 4, which was hugely traumatizing for his mother. Since then, she was constantly watching over Kyo for fear of him losing his beads and transforming somewhere in public. Not only would he be shunned as a monster, but the involuntary take-over would also drain his magical energy until he passes out and likely dies. When he was only 10, his mother became sick and died shortly afterwards. For Kyo, this it wasn't quite so much the thought of losing his mother that made him feel sad, but the judgements of everyone else attending the funeral. Kyo had always been an angry child and a bit difficult to handle, but the rest of his extended family seemed to think that it was his wild nature that drove his mother to her deathbed. To this day, Kyo struggles with blaming himself for his mother's death. After his mother died, his uncle from his mother's side decided to raise Kyo, despite the arguments against it from the other family members. Since then, Kyo's uncle was the one who educated him about the curse and how to manage it, as well as the magic that his father wielded back when he was a mage: take over magic. Kyo was a quick learner when it came to spells and combat skills, but every time Kyo's uncle took the boy out for a night out, he could see that Kyo had a long way to go in terms of dealing with other people. So in the spirit of Kyo's best interests, Kyo's uncle told him to leave and join a mage guild. Not only would Kyo find a place to learn more about magic than his uncle could ever teach him, it would be the perfect opportunity for Kyo to get out and hopefully learn how to make friends. Kyo didn't like his uncle's decision at all but went along with it anyway. Since he was told to leave by his uncle, Kyo has now been out on the road for a few weeks. Finding food was easy for him with his wilderness expertise, but finding friends would be a whole new challenge for him altogether.

Positive Traits:
- Enhanced Strength (+3): Your character is slightly stronger than other characters when it comes to physical strength.
Explanation: You are capable of doing C Ranked damage with all melee attacks. This is not added to spells in any form.
Regeneration (+4): You heal very fast inside and outside of combat. Small cuts that go up to one inch deep are healed in the next post.Explanation: C Rank damage healed every post.
- Swift (+3): You are fleet of foot. When running, you move three times your normal speed.
Explanation: You have a passive C Rank speed buff at all times.
Blind-Fight (+4): You know how to fight in melee without being able to see your foes.
Explanation: Self Explanatory.
Diligent (+2): Your meticulousness allows you to analyze minute details that others miss.
Explanation:Reduces training cost of spells by 10% in word cost.
Negative Traits:
- Daredevil (-2): You only really feel alive when you're staring death in the face. Your character is addicted to the thrill of death-defying stunts, pushing themselves to the limit at every available opportunity.
Explanation: You can't refuse the opportunity of engaging into combat with anyone or anything that is stronger than you. You also always volunteer and perform tasks that have a risk attached to them when you are in a group.
- Dark Secret (-1): You have some sort of secret that, if revealed, would make you an outcast amongst your society and companions. While this secret is on your mind at all times, it will come up in topics only once in a while, but when it does, watch out!
Explanation: You must think about your dark secret at least one out of ten posts. When things that are relevant to the dark secret are brought up you can't stop thinking about it. Kyo's dark secret is his family curse. Every time his bead bracelet is taken off, he undergoes an involuntary takeover that transforms him into a monstrous creature.
- Overconfident (-1): Nothing is beyond your capabilities. If you wanted, you could defeat the best swordsman in the world; you just haven't had any reason to do so yet. And surely that chasm isn't too wide for you to leap across.
Explanation: You are easily goaded, and anyone attempting to taunt you will succeed.
- Trusting (-2): You don't like to believe that other people are capable of misleading and lying to you. After all, people are basically good, right? Explanation: If someone lies, you automatically believe it.
- Curiosity (-1): You're a naturally curious person and you find mysteries of any sort irresistible. In most circumstances, alas, your curiosity overrides your common sense. This forces you to investigate something unusual, even if it looks like it might be dangerous.
Explanation: You will walk deeper into the forest you have never been before. You won't turn around from the castle that you have never seen. This can result into getting you into very dangerous situations.
- Bad Reputation (-1): You have a reputation that angers or frightens people. Examples include being unlucky, petty, or cruel. The rep may or may not be accurate, but in either case, word travels faster than you do.
Explanation: You can't communicate easily with non player characters. Somehow they've heard of you and the things they've heard weren't too good.
- Greedy (-1): Money makes your eyes light up with joy. The more, the merrier, as long as it spends. Once in a while, whenever you're divvying up shares of the loot, being offered a hefty bribe, or catching wind of some fabulous treasure, the flaw can to convince you to grab for as much money as possible.
Explanation: You may act differently when money comes into play.
Inattentive (-1): Your mind has a habit of drifting off at inopportune moments. It flits from one thought to the next so fast that you have trouble getting it to concentrate on the here and now. As such, you are particularly unaware of your surroundings.
Explanation: You must drift off at least one out of five posts.
- Reckless (-1): You lack the emotion of fear. Unfortunately, it is often an important cue that keeps men from doing foolhardy things. Sure, you don't flinch at the sight of even the most hideous monster, but neither do you feel the need to run away when outclassed.
Explanation: You can never flee from a fight with someone who is stronger than you.
- Tongue-Tied (-1): This disadvantage comes up whenever you try to discuss anything of importance and relay pressing information and such. You have the tendency to incorrectly state facts, forget or mix up names, and generally say the wrong thing.
Explanation: Every time you try to explain something to someone, you mix up names, leave things out, and jump around the timeline of how things happened.
- Indecisive (-1): You have been known to hesitate when faced with difficult choices or split-second decisions. If forced to choose between letting a villain escape and rescuing a loved one from being lowered into a snake pit, you're likely to agonize over the situation until something--perhaps a cry for help from your sweetheart--forces your hand.
Explanation: You take too much time when making decisions. You can never instantly make a decision when it is presented to you.
- Dependent (-3): You have a ward or charge that depends on you, usually a young child or elderly relative that needs you to provide for them and devote at least part of your time to them. In money terms, this will cost you five percent of your jewels a month. You may also be required to stay near home often in case you are needed.
Explanation: You will be placed on a list and at the end of the moment five percent of your jewels will be deducted. Kyo sends money to his legal guardian in Lotus town.
