He finds out only an hour after writing an angry letter to her, canceling there engagement, that his fiancé went to go visit her sick grandma. John gives this informal request to the people of the guild to intercept the message and take down the messenger with it. The messenger has however been trained to deliver mail and will not go down without a fight.
