General Appearance: Hotaru is a lean woman with an athletic build. She has light purple eyes, almost lavender, and flowing black hair that extends down to her knees when its done right. Her wardrobe varies with the winds and can be anything from conservative in nature, to downright skimpy when the mood strikes her. Most often, she wears a red and white kimono or a black vest over a white shirt with a red skirt, the latter being her old school uniform in the underworld.

III. PERSONALITY

Personality: Hotaru is by no means a prudish girl. In fact, to call her lustful would be an understatement. Although that is not all that defines her, it is definitely a key factor in the matter of describing her. Due to being a devil and having grown up around the sin of lust her whole life, it weighs heavily on her mind. But she does have other contributing factors alongside that. She is loyal to a fault to her friends and family, but does tend to have her sadistic side. She enjoys pain, whether it be inflicted to her or by her, though she doe have her preference, but that changes as often as her outfit does. She is a natural flirt and doesn't always mean to intend on inviting someone to bed, sometimes it is just for fun. However, as playful as she is, she knows when to be determined as well. When she is on a job or doing something that requires seriousness and maturity, she can give it with the best of them. But she would find a way to have fun in that type of situation. After all, what is life without any fun? She is a devil after all.

• Daredevil (-2): You only really feel alive when you're staring death in the face. Your character is addicted to the thrill of death-defying stunts, pushing himsefl to the limit at every available opportunity.
  
• Dark Secret (-1): You have some sort of secret that, if revealed, would make you an outcast amongst your society and companions. While this secret is on your mind at all times, it will come up in topics only once in a while, but when it does, watch out! (The Dark Secret is that she is actually a devil.)
  
• Harbinger of Ill Omen (-1): You seem to be cursed to forever bump into a specific person, time and time again. Each time you do, something bad happens not long afterward. This person in no way does this purposefully, it just happens with alarming frequency. In roleplay terms, this can be reflected through utilizing a specific instance of the Misfortunate flaw when the Harbinger pops up, or simply be some creatively hindering roleplay situation. (The Harbinger is Anei Kurosawa. This has been agreed on by the both of us.)
  
• Hedonistic (-1): You love a good time. You party too much, drink too much, and eat too much. You have trouble resisting an invitation to join someone in a drink and sometimes shirk your duty if offered a more enjoyable time elsewhere. Whenever a good time is presented you let your guard. You're also not capable to resist seduction of any sort. It's just not in your nature to resist such opportunities.
  
• Lecherous (-1): You have a lusty nature and a tendency to pursue the pleasures of the flesh. A woman or a man (however your tastes run) is an almost irresistible temptation to you. You give in to these temptations easily.

IV. MAGIC

Magic: Devil Magic: Lightning
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Devil Magic is the default magic that all devils who live in the underworld can use. The form that the devil's magic manifests in depends on the devil herself. Several factors such as personality and background come into play. For example, if an devil lived in the lowest depths of the underworld where it is really cold, the devil would develop ice devil magic. Due to Hotaru's "interests," she developed lightning. The lightning aspect of the magic functions exactly the same as regular lightning magic in both strength and functionality.
Strengths: This magic is fueled by devil power and can provide a few supplementary effects, such as the ability to fly using the wings on her back. Because she has developed this magic over many decades, she has also discovered the ability to use it with any appendage whether it be arms, legs, or wings, giving her great variability in how she casts her spells. This magic is also strong against water and metal type magics, being lightning in every physical sense.
Weaknesses: This magic provides extremely limited defensive capabilities and is mainly offensive. This magic is also very much weakened by earth related magics, seeing as electricity dissipates when it finds the ground. At the same time, it differs from standard lightning magic as it is weak against holy magics, since it stems from her devilish style.

V. HISTORY

History:Hotaru was raised in the second circle of the underworld: the circle of lust. It was there she was born to high devils who punished the damned for their wicked ways. When she became of age, she would help her parents and the other devils until she learned how to use magic, and develop it into her own style. Being from an area what's sole existence was derived from sex, it became an integral part of her life and she quickly took a liking to it, particularly the lustful torture of souls. She also became quite skilled in the use of whips for this purpose, particularly cat o' nine tails.

After many years, she wished to venture to the surface and walk among mortals to see if this was actually how they lived their lives. Although her father disapproved of the idea, he knew better than to argue with the young she-devil because he would get nowhere quickly. He agreed on the condition that she allow her memory of what she was and where she came from be erased, as mortals could not know what likely afterlife awaited them after the cold kiss of death's embrace. Reluctantly, she agreed to his terms and soon found herself in a forest, totally unaware of anything. All she knew for sure was her name and the fact that she used some strange form of lightning magic. She began to wonder who she was and where she came from, wandering around and searching for answers. Her search eventually brought her to Clover Town, where she saw all kinds of people enjoying their daily lives. Looking around, she could not help but notice that many of them were quite attractive, but in order for anyone to feel the same way about her, she needed clothes that were better than the rags she was currently wearing. To get better clothes, she needed money. That being the case, she searched around until someone pointed her to the Blue Pegasus guild and explained she could find work there.

From there it was decided. Hotaru would join this guild, make money, and get the finer things in life that these people seemed to appreciate. That would be the ultimate goal, to create a harem the likes of which the world had never seen. She would realize this goal and enjoy life as the humans did and, unbeknownst to her, make her parents proud. After all, even though she could not remember anything about her past, she was still embracing it.
