II. APPEARANCE
Height: 5' 9''
Weight: 140 lbs.
Hair: Short, messy tyle, colored ebony
Eyes: Large, expressive, and red that seem to glow
General Appearance: Standing at a rather typical height (and yet rather short for some of his age), this young man is quite the heartthrob in terms of looks. His lithe body is somehow maintained in spite of his unhealthy love of junk foods, and it isn't like he does plenty of exercise besides. He has slender limbs that appear feeble and easily broken, and although he isn't a bodybuilder in any sense of the word, he isn't particularly physically weak. He isn't a vain sort of teen and doesn't spend much time checking on his appearance, and as such his outfits reflect a casual feeling. His most common choice of attire is an open red and white high-collared shirt, a plain black tee underneath this, a pair of jeans (typically blue or dark blue) and a comfortable pair of sneakers (either black or white). As mentioned previously, he is never usually seen without a pair of gloves of any sort (be they fingerless or full-length depending on the season). Hats are another thing of his considered as a staple, because they smooth down his unruly locks.
It isn't very often that one would see him wearing anything drastically different, in all honesty. For formal events he is usually seen wearing a red dress shirt, loose black tie and black slacks with comfortable loafers hidden by the long trouser legs, and he makes it very well-known that he utterly despises any such formalities. Any reason should be a damn good one for him to dress up, and for a person that he deems important.
Extra: River almost always wears a hat of any kind, or has it about his person in a bag of some sort. His most common choice of hat is of a typical baseball cap-like style; coloured red and white. Alongside that, he always wears fingerless gloves to cover his palms. On the right side of his neck is a brand that River keeps hidden by flipping his collar up a little more than usual.
III. PERSONALITY
Personality: River is a mix of a lot of things, loyal and annoying, brave and reckless. This guy is completely unpredictable in what he'll do. He's got a strange way of treating his friends, usually talking to them as if he were always annoyed, or wanting to leave them entirely, although he never actually feels this way. He's generally terrible at social interaction, yet he places his friends, and his home above all else. His ultimate goal always stays in his mind, to constantly become stronger, to destroy all those who would take away his new home. He's got a great sense of pride in his own abilities, and in his magic's abilities. When he's alone, River is completely miserable, left with nothing but his own thoughts, which scare him terribly. He needs to be with friends in order to stay positive, even if he doesn't seem like he wants to be around them. He's got a strange hobby of drawing whatever he is thinking at different moments in a small notebook, which he keeps privately to himself from embarrassment, because often the pictures are of people he knows and how he pictures them. He has a bad habit of stripping down at the worst of times, just like any ice mage, and he's used to extremely cold environments.

Total: 13
Negative Traits:
- Aloof (-1): Your manner is cold and unapproachable, distancing you from friends and strangers alike. Your preternatural intelligence lends itself to viewing others as slow-witted and a waste of your precious time. Your charisma is lowered.
- Allergies (-1): You are afflicted with allergies. These may be something as simple as hay fever, but the reactions to such will result in something like a huge bout of sneezing and gasping. Spicy food makes River choke up until it's spit out.
- Arrogant (-1): You firmly believe that you are better than anyone else is. Your ideas are the best, your clothes are the most stylish, and you have to let everyone else know how much better you are. Once in a while you openly show contempt or disdain for someone else.
- Bad Reputation (-1): You have a reputation that angers or frightens people. Examples include being unlucky, petty, or cruel. The rep may or may not be accurate, but in either case, word travels faster than you do.
- Curiosity (-1): You're a naturally curious person and you find mysteries of any sort irresistible. In most circumstances, alas, your curiosity overrides your common sense.
This forces you to investigate something unusual, even if it looks like it might be dangerous. - Intolerance (-1): You have an irrational dislike of a certain thing. It may be an animal, a class of person, a situation, or just about anything at all. Note that some dislikes may be too trivial or ridiculous to count--a dislike of Bavarian-crème-filled donuts or mechanical pencils, for example, has no real dramatic value and will not be allowed. Blondes. He's never met one before, so he only knows about them from what he's heard, and he already hates the sound of them.
- Merciful (-1): For a villain, you have a terrible weakness--you don't like to hurt people. Given the choice, you'd rather exile your deposed brother to another country than do him in. Whether this is because you want him to live knowing that you beat him, or whether you just have a small soft spot down in your heart somewhere, the result is the same: your enemies keep coming back again and again.
- Overconfident (-1): Nothing is beyond your capabilities. If you wanted, you could defeat the best swordsman in the world; you just haven't had any reason to do so yet. And surely that chasm isn't too wide for you to leap across.
- Proud (-1): You don't like accepting help from others. If a gift or offer of aid smacks of charity or pity even the slightest bit, you grow indignant and refuse it.
- Reckless (-1): You lack the emotion of fear. Unfortunately, it is often an important cue that keeps men from doing foolhardy things. Sure, you don't flinch at the sight of even the most hideous monster, but neither do you feel the need to run away when outclassed.
- Judgmental (-1): You form opinions quickly and change them very slowly. You also have a tendency to judge people on their appearance. A man dressed as a pirate, no matter how gentlemanly, is a scoundrel and a dog as far as you is concerned. A man covered in mud is a peasant, and a woman wearing revealing clothing is a prostitute.
- Indecisive (-1): You have been known to hesitate when faced with difficult choices or split-second decisions. If forced to choose between letting a villain escape and rescuing a loved one from being lowered into a snake pit, you're likely to agonize over the situation until something--perhaps a cry for help from your sweetheart--forces your hand.
- Lecherous (-1): You have a lusty nature and a tendency to pursue the pleasures of the flesh. A woman or a man (however your tastes run) is an almost irresistible temptation to you. You give in to these temptations easily.

IV. MAGIC
Magic: Ice Make
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: This is a type of Molding Magic which utilizes the element of ice. The user can create a variety of objects out of ice to be used for offensive, defensive or miscellaneous purposes. Outside of combat, the user can also change their surroundings using ice, such as covering the ground with ice. The ice also can be used as wound dressing, stanching bleeding and preventing the swell of an injury.
There are currently two known types of Ice-Make Magic. The first one is called Static Ice-Make. This type of Ice-Make is characterized by the creation of inanimate objects, such as weapons, or by affecting the environment around them.
Strengths: Obviously, this magic uses the element of ice, which means elements that are weak to ice have a disadvantage against it. This is also creation magic, which means that it can be used in an incredibly wide range, almost anything that the creator can imagine, they can make. This allows the magic to be different for each person.
Weaknesses: Compared to its second type, Static Ice Make isn't as fast. It also has all of the elemental weaknesses ice has, like fire, making it difficult to fight with at times. This type of Ice Magic does have its flaws, such as the only things it can make are inanimate objects. Also, anything that can smash the ice can also have an advantage over this magic.
V. HISTORY
History:
- Spoiler:
- River was born to a typical small family within a bustling market town in the southern-most regions of Fiore by the name of Elmorine. Although it was not famous like many across the region, like Magnolia Town and those sporting large mage guilds, it was rather famed for its large craft fairs and market days. It typically brought in all kinds of rare resources, and because of the diverse range of goods, a rather diverse range of people inhabited the town. Among them were the young man's parents; a simple merchant father, and craftswoman mother. They were utterly surprised when they were gifted with a son due to numerous issues physically that, they assumed, left them unable to have children. As such, their child was a true blessing, and they treated him as such while he was growing up. What became even more of a surprise was how he could utilise magic, a skill so uncommon in their part of the region that only one in fifty people had the strange phenomenon called 'magic'.
As a boy, he grew up showered with love and praise from his parents. In spite of his wonderful ability to use magic, he spent no time honing it for a particular purpose like most did, due to two main reasons. One, there weren't any real teachers to aid him in the endeavour. And two, he was far too happy being with his family to worry about such things. He was a very clever, resourceful youth, and often helped his mother on market days when she struggled to carry things, or stayed with his father when he was selling new wares. Everybody in their town sung his praises, undoubtedly, and said that he would grow into a fine young man should he continue.
One night changed all of that; the bright future and the person that River once was...
"You must never forget how special you are, how unique and how happy you make us..."
He never woke up during the fire. He didn't hear the dying screams of his parents or the true horror of burning people running through the streets trying to get away. He came to right at the end, when the worst had transpired, and yet the horror was still fresh. He had been protected by his mother, as she used numerous scarves to wrap around his face to block out most of the smoke and poisonous gases. His father hefted a makeshift shelter over his body, to avoid debris falling and killing him. River was panic-stricken, and when he left the house he was horrified to find that his parents were nowhere to be seen, and all that remained of the bottom floor of their house was ashes; in amongst which was probably the bodies of his parents.
Outside, the sights were just the same. Not a sound echoed anywhere in the deserted streets, and houses were still burning. The youth had no choice but to run and try to save himself, like his parents would have wanted. Although it was difficult to leave things behind, if he stayed he would surely die. As he was running, all he could think about was the lessons he had from his mother about mythology... about dragons... about how they breathed fire and brought destruction...
Since that day, he has developed a huge hatred of dragons and everything they are. His anger and hate fueled his passion to nurture his magical abilities so that he could get further in the world, find the dragon that destroyed his town, killed his parents and brought his world tumbling down around him. He wanted to take down the dragon with an element that was weak against it, to humiliate the name of dragons forever. His desire for Ice magic was through pure bloodlust, his sheer desire to ruin the dragon and all that stood in his way. He sought help from teachers he met on his travels; a mere ten-year-old boy looking for food, shelter and magical teachings. This lifestyle continued for many years, until he was seventeen years of age. It was then that he found Hargeon Town, a place that seemed like a home away from home. It resonated features of the place that he had grown up in, and for that he loved the place. As such, he decided to settle there and did some research on the local guild, Blue Pegasus.
Upon deciding that the guild matched his desires well enough, and the people very likeable on the whole, he joined the guild in a way to become better. Blue Pegasus was a strong guild with spirited, gifted mages, so surely he would get better and stronger. After two years, River still remains full of revenge and 'justice', for what he deems is right.
