APPEARANCE

Description: Even the appearance of Ling could be considered quite "ying-yang". Just look at your hair alone would make you think that, as it is a perfect balance between the colors of white and red. In addition, his eyes are also different colors, those two colors being the colors of green and black, respectively.

His build is average, in all senses of the word - I suppose you could call that yet another balanced thing about the boy right here. He is in the middle of being underweight and overweight, not quite reaching towards any side, but resting perfectly in the very middle.

His clothes however are not so balanced, as they usually just consist of whatever he feels like wearing that day. He is quite the fan of casual and loose clothing, that being said. He has a habit of always refusing to wear a hat, no matter what. He will never wear one.

PERSONALITY

Personality: While he inherited traits from both his mother and his father, it seems like Ling is a bit more leaning towards the cold side. He is often a loner, and prefers not to talk to most people. He can be described as a bit "edgy" and is not afraid to speak his mind most of the time.

However, he has the inherited trait of his father by being driven to anger VERY easily.  He has a very short fuse, and most of the time cannot hold himself back when something he doesn't approve of happen. Sometimes even just saying the wrong set of words with the same meaning will set him off.

He's also a bit of a mastermind - thanks to his mother, he has an extremely high IQ and a knowledge of many different subjects. He is able to create plans very quickly, no matter what the situation that he is in.

He is extremely bothered by the time of night, and prefers to stay indoors - he cannot stand the darkness. Why, exactly? He likes having his vision is all.

The thing he would like to avoid the most is running into his parents once again - he fears their wrath, and is constantly aware and cautious.. even a bit paranoid.

MAGIC

Magic: Ice Magic
Type: Caster
Element: Ice
Description: The user practices the manipulation, creation and usage of the element of ice, which is frozen water for those uninformed. The user can create ice in all kinds of shapes, as well as use their magic power to control it. This magic specializes in offense, defense, and debuffs.
Weaknesses: Ice magic is naturally weak to fire. In addition, ice is purely a solid and is unable to become any sort of liquid. Ice magic is often not very useful in team-fighting, as it's cold temperature will effect everyone, regardless of the user's relationship with them.


HISTORY

History:  Ling was born into a not-so-normal family. His family was a pair of two thieves who had accidentally conceived a child through a night of love. These two thieves were often known as the Fire-Ice thieves, as they were polar opposites - as well as the fact they used the two magics.

Ling's father was a hothead, one who used fire magic. He got excited easily, but was also kind when he wasn't angry. Ling's mother was a cool, calm woman who used ice magic - that being said, she was extremely cold and mean. How these two met was never known to Ling, however he does know they used their unique combination of elements in both magic and personality in order to conduct the greatest heists - some that, to this day, Ling still hopes to do on his own.

Ling was raised trained in the way of stealth - after a long argument, it was finally decided he would first learn ice Magic from his mother. Ling wanted to learn fire magic a bit more, but it seemed that his mother was having her way.

You see, while Ling learned the magic of his mom, and was more naturally gifted in ice, he still inherited a lot of traits from both his mother and father - personality traits included. Part of him did not like being with his mother, so at the age of 10, he did what a lot of kids thought of doing, but not quite did - he ran away.

He wasn't exactly sure where to go from here. Ling barely scraped by in the world, making most of his food by the thieving skills that his mother and father had taught him. While he wasn't a master at the trade or anything like that, he still had picked up a few skills here and there from the training they gave him.

Nowadays, Ling is a dark mage that belongs to no guild - though he would like to one day join one for not the companionship, but rather the benefits it brings to money, survival, and all sorts of things like that. Would give him a half decent place to sleep too, now that he thinks about. He wanders around Fiore, hoping to never see his parents again, as well as getting whatever food and money he possibly can. Little does he know, one day, he may perhaps make a name for himself.
