Description: Although fair-skinned with a seemingly perfect complexion, Zancrow is far from human in most conventional standards. However, taking half of his genetic make-up from his human father the young man was blessed with charming looks and waist-length, spiky black hair. Often times the man can be seen wearing a blue high-collared, long sleeve mantle that splits down the lower half and a simple, light-brown obi and a belt. Over such an outfit is a crimson armor with numerous metal plates, forming protective guards along his chest, waist, shoulders and thighs. It is not a very durable set of armor, and provides just as much protection as his ordinary clothing does. More than often the relatively young man has bandages around his shins to hide the numerous scars from previous skirmishes in life and the training he undertook as a Darkness Dragon Slayer. His eyes are oddly unique, possessing a ripple-like pattern which spreads over the eyeballs, with red sclerae and irides, containing a pattern of nine tomoe. This has been the case from birth, with ties going back to his mother's inhuman genetic make up. PERSONALITY
Personality: At heart and mind, Zancrow is insane. He is a psychopath and is fully aware of such a mental setback, but does not exactly feel concerned for the fact that his mind has gone awry to the point of psychopathy. He is fully capable of processing outside sensory information only by adapting to it. This enables Zancrow to create a new personality every day if he needs to, in order to be as fluid flowing through society if need be. At times the man can enter a meditative state where he evaluates his previous selves to consciously create a new personality, effectively modifying himself for his needs. At selective times will Zancrow reveal his true inner self, his true personality, when the time and setting calls for it. His unpredictable, homicidal nature is only kept at bay for his awareness of the sensitivity of others and the general belief over overreactions, which may or may not result in backlash. There are some persons whom he keeps in high regard and respect for, including family, his fellow Revolutionaries, and those few strangers that hold some form of interest to him. His quasi professional life and his personal life are fluid and mix often, although without any major drawbacks brought on by his hidden psychopathy.
To keep up a general appearance amongst peers, strangers, and friends alike, Zancrow will behave relatively friendly. Truthfully he is more laid-back than anything, including relatively low standards for much that goes on in his life. Most people do not hold much of a strong interest enough for him to befriend, but they do hold enough interest to be acquaintances at the most. The most he's ever talked to anyone who was not his brother or someone he called a friend would be a sparring partner, who most of the time would be his brother or some willing Revolutionary or stranger. Zancrow is one to not take combat ever so seriously, but has come to understand that there are certain situations in which he must give it all as his life is dependent on it. However, almost an any guaranteed time he is in constant surveillance of his surroundings for anything suspicious or auspicious. He happens to be a fighter by profession and by nature, and his magic ability has only cemented the well-known fact that Zancrow is a formidable opponent to come in contact with, although he is more suited for the position of an assassin than an open-combat person. He has made sure to hold strong and true to open combat, as there is never a guaranteed moment for the element of surprise. Even then, the man never actively looks for fights, and will prefer to move along with the agenda without causing the most disruption. How he stands on the subject of romance is anyone's guess

Explanation: You can't communicate easily with non player characters. Of course, this doesn't endear you to others. Most times you are prudent enough to carry out your cruelties on those under your thumb, rather than those you see as equals. Explanation: You must perform an act of cruelty one out of five posts. - Dark Secret (-1): You have some sort of secret that, if revealed, would make you an outcast amongst your society and companions. While this secret is on your mind at all times, it will come up in topics only once in a while, but when it does, watch out!
Explanation: You must think about your dark secret at least one out of ten posts. When things that are relevant to the dark secret are brought up you can't stop thinking about it - Fanaticism (-1): This can be a substantial disadvantage for a character, though it requires significant roleplaying commitment on the part of the player. The fanaticism can be dedication to a particular cult, religion, or god, or it can be more worldly-based, in the sense of overwhelming loyalty to a state, a military presence, or to a particular leader. Whatever their sources, the different types of fanaticism have several things in common. If a certain code of behavior is called for by the belief, then the character must conform to that behavior even if it conflicts with the immediate goals of the character and his companions. While fanaticism is not necessarily evil, it may certainly become tiresome to those who do not share the fanatics beliefs.
Explanation: You must always strongly act out to your beliefs even if it goes against your immediate goals or it brings the lives of people you care about in danger. - Intolerance (-1): You have an irrational dislike of a certain thing. It may be an animal, a class of person, a situation, or just about anything at all. Explanation: You must act very disgusted and displeased when your dislike comes into play - Mute (-3): Your vocal apparatus does not function, and you cannot speak at all. You can communicate only through other means--typically writing or signing. This is due to a birth defect, and therefore cannot be healed by any means.
Explanation: You will never be unable to speak. Frankenstein cannot fix this - Righteous (-1): The end justifies the means. You are willing to perform morally repugnant actions in order to achieve noble goals. Unfortunately, this can alienate those people who might support your cause if you didn't use such heavy-handed methods.

MAGIC
Magic: Abyssal Dragon Slayer Magic

Description: Abyssal Dragon Slayer Magic is a Caster Magic, Lost Magic, and a type of Dragon Slayer Magic that utilizes magenta-colored dark energy. Unlike the magic of an ordinary Darkness Dragon Slayer, the darkness of this magic is primordial, and subsequently channeled with corruption. This gives the darkness made from this magic its magenta color. Such a darkness is corrosive, and much like fire, seeks to obliterate anything in its path. Such a magic user is able to see in the dark as clear as they do in the day, as learned innately by their patron dragon. Similar to their Shadow Dragon Slayer brethren, Abyssal Dragon Slayers can become one with darkness for evasive and stationary/spying purposes
HISTORY
History: Zancrow Redsoul was born of an unnatural matrimony of a human man named Razgriz Redsoul and a female shadow giant named Mononoke. As Razgriz was a proficient mage in his younger years, coupled with Mononoke's natural affinity to darkness, their son grew up as a very talented Darkness magic user. However, things were never easy at home, as the manner in how Zancrow would be raised was made in the manner in how his parents met. While beast-hunting in the forests surrounding the city of Torino, Razgriz was abducted by a group of cultists praying to what they saw as foul and unnatural deities. The deity they were giving homage to was in fact a female shadow giant taking advantage of her otherworldly presence to pass time until she could regain her power and slip back into her realm of existence. Mononoke, instead of devouring Razgriz, as she had done so with countless other men, went through the relatively excruciating process of mating with the man, an act that was harmless to her but almost killed him.
Razgriz was left completely devoid of all magic and magical energy, and left in an almost vegetative state. While still conscious and able to act on his own, Razgriz was left devoid of ever using magic again. Mononoke, not having the physiology to sustain a mana pool and subsequently use magic, simply transferred the magic energy of Razgriz to her developing offspring. However, she did not account for the transferal of her hatred and malice to the young boy. Zancrow would be born mute as a result of his obscene conception, but the child would grow to cause a lot of noise in his later years.
Zancrow hated his mother with all his fiber and soul, and the feeling was mutual. The young boy would grow up under his father's tutelage and learn to understand the common language without necessarily being able to speak it. Through his father he would also learn how to channel his magic and hone it to a skillful degree, something his mother was noticeably weary of. Knowing of this, Razgriz escaped with a ten year old Zancrow in the direction of the Green Outskirts of Roncello. However, Mononoke was on their trail, for fearing loneliness and the fear of Zancrow growing in power. Along the way, Razgriz had lost an arm, and the infection was slowly taking him.
In the twilight of a hot summer night, Mononoke finally caught up with Razgriz and her son, and mother and child would partake in a vicious duel of voracious dark blows. As his father lay dying in the shade of a tree and his mother ever so powerful in the presence of total darkness, the young man gave a silent prayer in his mind in hopes that he could defeat the female shadow giant. That prayer was answered, but in the form of a bloodcurdling roar accompanied by magenta-colored, flame-like energy engulfing the area around the three. Before Razgriz passed on into the afterlife he uttered one word, the name of a creature that neither Mononoke or Zancrow had heard of prior:
"Dragon."
The black beast glowed magenta like its black flame-like energy, looking down on Mononoke's giant form. It was puny compared to the massive size of Finner, and like a candle in the wind, Mononoke disappeared whilst whispering words of revenge. Zancrow faced the dragon, but having lost his father and his life threatened by his mother, all what humanity he kept faded away with his father's death. Finner grinned, and took in the child to train and corrupt him to become a loyal servant. Little did Finner know that Zancrow would adoptthe same values of corruption and destruction as his mother did, and would be more sinister than expected.
Under the new tutelage of Finner the Abyssal Dragon, Zancrow acquired his Abyssal Dragon Slayer magic, his body slowly morphing to adjust to the corrupt energies filling his magic pool. However, one could say the dormant genes of his shadow giant heritage were being fed into by Finner's magic. At some point, for unknown reasons, Zancrow left the dragon to be in search of another way to occupy his job. He reappeared in Lovero within the Watchers Eye guild, and has laid low ever since. He is mindful to hear of anything relating to his mother's activity, as well as Finner's presence.
