"Sometimes I wish that I was still as innocent as the world thinks I am, then I remember that I am still more innocent then the world. "
Name: Harley Quinzel
Nickname: Harlequin
Age: 19
Sex: Female
Birthday: 10/13/x762
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Class: Cleric
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Rank: D-rank
Guild: Crime Sorciere
Guild Tattoo: In Scarlet red in the center of her chest
Face Claim: Arin Kannazuki-Trinity 7
II. APPEARANCE
Weight: 110 pounds
Hair: Turquoise
Eyes: Solid Gold
General Appearance: Slim as she is, it is hard for almost anyone to believe that this girl is 19 years old, let alone that she is a powerful mage. With the height, and slimmed down body of a preteen, her pale white skin only accentuates her childish appearance. Her almost always blank face as a straight line for a mouth practically tattooed onto her face, making it seem as if she is always in a neutral like state.
Then again, the only part of her body you can visibly see is her face, and parts of her leg. Wearing a long, black cloak, she has the red ribbon tied tight and ready holding it together. Its long sleeves reaching to her finger tips and its long trail behind it sinking down to just above her ankles. A white frill follows around the edges of the cloak, making the short, black sundress beneath the cloak much more visible. The sun dress ends just a few inches above her knees, where her long, knee high black socks begin.
Extra: When Harliquin is not working as a mage, she tends to wear something a little more casual. Not giving her identity away as a member of Crime Sorciere, she wears an every day school outfit that she kept from when she went to boarding school. The uniform Consists of a red handkerchief around her neck, tucked away under her black collared shirt over coat and resting up her white collared shirt. The same knee high black socks will be worn, along with the same brown shoes, however, the red plaid skirt is a new addition as a replacement for the black sundress.
III. PERSONALITY
Personality: Being a mute, not many people know exactly what is on Harlequins mind. Although one thing can be assumed, she is a very judgmental young lady. Almost no one knows why she can't talk, the girl typically keeps her mouth shut, not revealing to them anything except her judgement, using her dagger like eyes to pierce through the very essence of people. typically wanting to be alone, she gives off a very daunting presence, not being talked to when she has separated herself from the group, or even when she isn't separated from them.
Partially due to her judgmental personality, Harlequin is a very curious young thing, always going out of her way to try and dig up dirt on people, or just find out what is going on with those around her. But what most people don't know is, she can't help it. Due to being a bit obsessive, and giving into those obsessions with her compulsiveness, obsessive compulsive disorder typically riddling her brain.
But, being as closed a book as Harley is, no one would no that. In fact, almost nothing is known about Harlequins past, and that is exactly as she likes it to be, and how she would like it to be kept.
Likes:
- Alcohol
- Candy
- Cats
- Combat
- Reptiles (Especially snakes)
- Superiority
Dislikes:
- Flowers (mainly daises)
- Large Animals
- The Past
- People
- Perverts
- Pigs
- Sex/romance
- Sour/Bitter tastes
- Sora, her sister
- Stupid People
Motivation: Harlequin is mainly here for one simple reason, capturing her sister. Nothing infuriates her more then her sister. Sora didn't go through any of the things that harley had, and yet, she wastes away her freedom. Using it to rob others, and do others wrong. Harley herself must hide from the law sense they look the same, and no one believing that she, herself, is not Sora. Harley wishes to capture, or even kill her sister, putting her in jail and ending the confusion.
Fears:
- Harley is terrified dark spaces. As a slave, she was not beat, but the most common punishment was solitary confinement. Weeks, or sometimes months in a small, 6 by 6 foot room, no light being let in except for once a day when food would arrive. She learned to not only despise the darkness, but fear it completely.
- Harliquin has an unreasonable fear of rats. She can not stand the things. They are the one creature in this world that send fear in her heart, reminding her of times when she was forced to live in the filthy conditions of a slave.
- Harley has the irrational fear of large bodies of water. Oceans, large lakes, ponds, terrify her.
Positive Traits:
- Alertness (+2): You have finely tuned senses.
- Daunting Presence (+2): You are skilled at inducing fear in your opponents.
- Stealthy (+3): You are particularly good at avoiding notice. You could be sitting somewhere in a thread at a bar and people wouldn't even notice that you were there.
- Regeneration (+4): You heal very fast inside and outside of combat. Small cuts that go up to one inch deep are healed in the next post.
- Zealot (+4): This person has trained themselves to wield a specific type of weapon. This weapon can be mentioned behind the Zealot feat within brackets to claim it upon approval. [4 foot long spear]
Negative Traits:
- Aloof (-1): Your manner is cold and unapproachable, distancing you from friends and strangers alike. Your preternatural intelligence lends itself to viewing others as slow-witted and a waste of your precious time. Your charisma is lowered.
- Bad Reputation (-1): You have a reputation that angers or frightens people. Examples include being unlucky, petty, or cruel. The rep may or may not be accurate, but in either case, word travels faster than you do. [Sora, Harlequins twin sister, is a dark mage who does everything. People, however, do not know about Soras twin sister and often assume that she is the dark mage going around terrorizing people. This is why she must often conceal her presence, for most people have seen her sisters wanted posters.]
- Branded (-2): You have fled for a crime committed and now have a prominent brand. You may have been a criminal, a slave, or some other such illicit individual. The brand is such that it cannot be easily covered, and a cursory search reveals it each time. Law enforcement agents of any lawful land will immediately take you into custody if they see the mark, for extradition or imprisonment. It is your choice as to whether or not you were falsely accused of the crime. [Harlequn was owned for quite some time by a very rich, and powerful man. She was branded with the mans seal, forever leaving her with a brand of a pig on her hip.]
- Curiosity (-1): You're a naturally curious person and you find mysteries of any sort irresistible. In most circumstances, alas, your curiosity overrides your common sense. This forces you to investigate something unusual, even if it looks like it might be dangerous.
- Dark Secret (-1): You have some sort of secret that, if revealed, would make you an outcast amongst your society and companions. While this secret is on your mind at all times, it will come up in topics only once in a while, but when it does, watch out! [For the majority of her life, Harliquin was a slave, being sold to a man at a very young age. She would only tell her closest friends, wanting no one to find out that she used to be so pathetic as to be owned by someone.]
- Judgmental (-1): You form opinions quickly and change them very slowly. You also have a tendency to judge people on their appearance. A man dressed as a pirate, no matter how gentlemanly, is a scoundrel and a dog as far as you is concerned. A man covered in mud is a peasant, and a woman wearing revealing clothing is a prostitute. [She is very picky and judgmental about just about everything. Due to being a mute, Harliquin will never, for obvious reasons, voice her judgement. However, her dagger like eyes and expressions will often give it away that she is judging something.]
- Mute (-3): Your vocal apparatus does not function, and you cannot speak at all. You can communicate only through other means--typically writing or signing. This is due to a birth defect, and therefore cannot be healed by any means.
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (-3): This illness manifests in one of two main forms, obsessive thoughts or compulsive actions; some characters exhibit both. [she can never not g o through with an idea she has had. If she is thinking about something, she will always feel compelled to do the first plan she has created, even if it is the worst]
- Slow (-2): Due to a birth defect of some sort, usually in the form of a lame leg or legs, you move exceptionally slowly. As you were born this way, it cannot be healed by any means. [Harlequin, for some unknown reason, just is not a naturally fast person.]
IV. MAGIC
Magic: Pandora's Diary
Caster or Holder: Holder
Description: Long ago, according to the myths and legends surrounding this ancient treasure, there lived a girl named Pandora. Written in these legend is that she used to own a Box filled with the worlds most horrifying secrets, but Harliquin knows the truth. The girl owned a diary, a diary that the girl wrote all of her spells in to mimic legendary creatures. Pandora, was a witch. The magic was truly a form of Unholy make magic, allowing for the reader of such spells to summon forth attacks which seem as though they come from great beasts such as Harpies, Hydras, Sirens, and even things as common in fairy tails as Wolves and Cyclops's. The owner of the book, Harliquin, can flip through it and read the spells aloud, using the book as a medium in order for her to use the same powers as Pandora once had. The book is locked shut, and only links with one living person at a time. That one living person being the only one who can open up the book, and read its secrets.
Strengths: As a make magic, the user is able to use a plethora of spells for a variety of reasons, such as offensive, defensive, or even supplementary purposes. The magic can be used for short ranged, or even longed ranged assaults. Being a corrupt, Dark type magic, the magic is very neutral towards holy and light magic, being more powerful against mages who have bonded with such magics.
Weaknesses: Althought being strong against holy and light magics, it also weakens the user to such magics as well. Being neutral elements, the too are both strong, and weak against one another. Truthfully, the user of Pandoras Diary should avoid fights with light mages, for the consequences are far greater then the benefits. The magic also requires a lot of magic, having almost not sustainable spells and mostly being instant attacks.
V. HISTORY
History: The world is a mystical one. One that brings adventure, and knew horizons. Filled to the brim with magic, fantasy, and love awaiting to be found. Happiness seems to find its way around every corner, and eventually, a happy ending will fall upon them. A happy ending, or a any of the other things mentioned, have yet to occur to Harley Quinzel. Being born into god know what family, she was quickly sold off. She was sold to a family, which at first, seemed nice enough. They treated Harley with respect, love. They nurtured her, fed her clothed her. She loved it there. But it was all a trick. A simple trap to stop her from running away, and stopping her from resisting their help.
At the age of eight, she was put to work. She realized what she was, a slave. She had no will of her own, nor did she have a voice. Having her tongue cut out while she was sleeping the night before she found out she was a slave. She couldn't even so much as scream as they branded her hip with the family crest, a pig. They told her "You are our new livestock,". Probably the reason why they chose a pig.
Life as a slave was not something Harley could enjoy. She wasn't beaten, at least, not physically. Mentally, she was battered and bruised. Forced to fall down the road and deal with the pain and misfortunes of having to go days with out food, or going weeks in solitary confinement. It was one, fateful day that she was told to fetch something from the basement. Being told to fetch a simple family air loom, she walked upon something that called to her, spoke to her. It was a book. A black, leather bound book which was locked with a seal. Attempting to find a key, curious about this book, she realized that she could not find one. Sighing, she hid the book, grabbed the necklace, and left the room.
She would occasionally return, always volunteering to fetch something from the basement. this went on for months, and one day, she finally got the courage to try and open it. The voice spoke louder, and the book shinned bright with all kinds of colors. The lock opened up immediately. Information flooded her head, and she knew what she had to do. the book tainted her mind, but not for the worse, but for the better. Takign a spear, another item hidden away in the basement, she got the courage to slaughter the man of the house. Rune knights quickly showed up, Harley running to get them, and the rest of the family was arrested.
As for Harley, the government didn't know what to do with her. Lots of contemplation went on, and eventually, they sent her to boarding school.
Nothing much happened there, just a few, uneventful yeas which ended in Harley graduating at the age of 18, and being released into the world. But alas, it was then all hell struck loose. The discovery of her twin sister, Sora, kept her in hiding. Wanted posters were posted everywhere, giving Harley quite the daunting presence. Being in hiding, she heard rumors of Crime Sorciere, and loving the feeling of putting a family of slave owners behind bars, she went out to find them.
And when she found them, she joined them.
