II. APPEARANCE

Height: 1 ft, 9 in.
Weight: 11 lbs
Hair: Gray fur
Eyes: Emerald Green
General Appearance: Sal is a cat, specifically an Exceed, who prefers wearing human clothing over the alternative of birthday suits. His gray fur covers his whole body, and his tail is a lot more furry than other Exceeds. His eyes are emerald-colored, and his nose is pink. Along with his tiny stature, Sal prefers sleeveless to short-sleeved shirts, and will not leave anywhere at all without pants. His magic wings are white, as most Exceed's are. On top of his head, there is a scruff of fur.
Extra: There's a birthmark under his right eye of a small lighter gray line than his fur. Also, Salvadore is a cat.

III. PERSONALITY

Personality: Sal is a cat, yet he finds himself more human than other humans. In the sense that he wears clothes, and he even has a bigger brain than them (or so he may claim, that is yet to be determined for sure.) When it comes to Salvadore the Exceed, he believes himself to be a higher class of cat than most would think. Perhaps in a form of arrogance, he perceives himself with much a higher IQ than most, and he utilizes this.

Common sense might dictate that love is just a hopeless game, and its capabilities can make relationships stronger, or break them altogether. The fine line between this is truly gray, but Sal doesn't believe in such a thing. In fact, he believes so strongly in this, that it greatly affects him as a person. He believes that when two people who are intensely in love come together, they have enough strength to spread apart seas, to lay mountains to waste, or even more impossible, to defy a god. Granted, even if he thinks this way, Sal doesn't believe that love is meant for him. Maybe one day, but no time soon.

Now, despite the arrogance stated earlier, he finds it easy to talk to people normally. Sal is just a cat, and he realizes the boundaries that causes for him as a user of magic. He can easily comprehend that in a fight, that the enemy has a higher chance of victory. He attempts to act as a scanner towards the enemy to help point out the flaws. In fact, that's how he functions in combat. He points out the flaws in something, and fires away. Perhaps tackling the problematic spot, or having Kazuki do it for him. That said, Salvadore does not like dirtying his own hands, so it's just as well that Kazuki be the muscle behind the brain.

People who cross Salvadore, or at least have the same brain capacity as he do intrigue Salvadore, as the cat will often attempt to keep conversation with them, even if he conceives them as an enemy. Mostly to see if he can outsmart them. Maybe that means he has an overwhelming sense of pride, but he likes to think that he can, AND WILL outsmart his foes.

An added fact… and an interesting one at that; Salvadore is a never-nude.

Likes:

• His matchmaking job. His nickname, Cupid, is more of a title over an actual name, as it shows his progress. Now despite that, he hasn't actually gotten people together, so...
  
• Books. As he'd put it, a sword needs as much sharpening as the mind. What does that? A good book. Sides, someone has to have a brain between him and Kazuki...
  
• Hats. Sal has a peculiar interest in trying out hats. While he likes wearing clothes as well (in fact, makes it a rule to barely ever be naked unless he needs a bath), some hats are awesome.
  
• Fish and fish-flavored food. His services in the matchmaking career. He doesn't need magic. He just wants fish. Hand-caught fish to boot.
  
• Kazuki and Anissia together. Because that is his first and most prized project. Now if only Kazuki could one-hundred percent swoo her... also, his only project.
  

Dislikes:

• Charm Magic. Ya'know, Sal works very hard to be Cupid. He worked for nothing to get that title. He deserves respect, and Charm Magic tramples over that respect.
  
• Idiocy. Well, Sal is already, what he believes to be anyways, a genius. So of course he'd feel this way. Kazuki is probably a big offender.
  
• Having to describe the birds and the bees. Ever. He won't do it.
  
• Impulsive actions. Because any action upon impulse is a stupid one.
  
• Being without clothes. Sal likes wearing pants. Nuff said.
  

Motivations: Love, or to be specific, the pursuit of love when it applies to others. Helping people get to that 'in love' feeling warms his heart, and even if it doesn't work, its the pursuit of it that is the true fun. Perhaps it is because he was always meant to be a Cupid. Though Sal believes his feelings on this can transcend destiny, as can love. He goes on because love is a pursuit that deserves to be followed and monitored, and in the wrong hands, or given wrongly... one could easily ruin the lives of others. Love keeps him going as such.

Fears:

• Being replaced. It's a real fear, and honestly, the idea of being replaced as the honest 'Cupid', or even worse, the Exceed would... cause problems with Sal. It would make him feel the need to fly away forever.
  
• Lightning. Nothing terrifies him more than seeing it than hearing it, and when he hears it, his ear stuck away, and he balls onto the ground, losing every thought to fear. It's a fear he doesn't like having, but it was born with him, so it's quite possible he just 'inherited' it.
  

Positive Traits:

• Persuasive (+2): You have a way with words and body language. Somehow you manage to persuade weaker minded people easily.
  
• Diligent (+2): Your meticulousness allows you to analyze minute details that others miss.
  
• Nimble Fingers (+2): You are adept at manipulating small, delicate objects. This involves things such as a small mechanics and locks.
  
• Alertness (+2): You have finely tuned senses.
  

Negative Traits:

• Arrogant (-1): You firmly believe that you are better than anyone else is. Your ideas are the best, your clothes are the most stylish, and you have to let everyone else know how much better you are. Once in a while you openly show contempt or disdain for someone else.
  
• Compulsive Honesty (-2): You cannot tell a lie, nor can you behave in a deceitful fashion. You tend to be blunt rather than tactful, even if it means insulting someone who you and your companions are trying to impress.
  
• Fragility (-2): Due to a serious vitamin deficiency in your youth (or something similar), your bone structure is unnaturally weak, and you are overly thin.
  
• Judgmental (-1): You form opinions quickly and change them very slowly. You also have a tendency to judge people on their appearance. A man dressed as a pirate, no matter how gentlemanly, is a scoundrel and a dog as far as you is concerned. A man covered in mud is a peasant, and a woman wearing revealing clothing is a prostitute.
  
• Overconfident (-1): Nothing is beyond your capabilities. If you wanted, you could defeat the best swordsman in the world; you just haven't had any reason to do so yet. And surely that chasm isn't too wide for you to leap across.
  
• Squeamish (-1): You don't want anyone's blood on your hands. It's perfectly okay to get blood on your underling's hands, but you don't like to do the deed yourself. Of course, you don't always follow up on things to make sure the job actually gets done--after all, the sight of blood has always disturbed you.
  

IV. MAGIC

Magic: Aera Magic
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Magic that would give Exceed (or perhaps anyone) angelic-like wings that are capable of flying. Using it, one can carry people, and change the speed of flight.
Strengths: As stated above, with Aera magic, one could fly with angelic wings. They can carry people with their arms, and they can change the speed at which they fly as well.
Weaknesses: There are a few limits with Aera Magic, such as it relying on the amount of magic in storage the caster has. If it depletes, the wings disappear, and if knocked unconscious, the wings disappear anyways. Even if Aera user's can carry people with the spell, they are limited to carry only one person. And finally, the speed to which they fly will serve as the determining factor of mana depletion.

V. HISTORY

History: Far atop the lands of Edolas's flying isles, lived a society of cats known as the 'Exceed'. These cats held magic within them as humans do, able to create wings to span out from their bodies and fly like birds in the sky. They were many in number, and they even elected a seer to see the future.

But deep within the village, were two cats. They lived together, deeply enraveled in the threads of love that they made for themselves. One, with emerald eyes, the other with gray fur, they found that trait about one another irresistable. And so, they fell in love.

Alas, one was of royal descent within the cat's deeper innerworked society. And the other had to keep it in secret. They would meet on an island far above all else to spend countless days together. They cherished one another, and believed that they would make a beautiful cat if they just believed they could. Together, they believed their love stronger than anyone else's, and would transcend the Exceed's royalty caste system.

The day an egg came afoot was the hardest day of all to deal with. The royal cat had to explain themselves, else the egg be destroyed on the spot. And then a plan had been hatched. The only way to save the child that lie dormant within the egg, was to send it to another world, and to deny any relation to the egg. And so, with many carefully worded pleas, the plan was set. The egg would be sent to Earthland.

The common cat was furious that their baby would be taken away. They begged at pleaded the lover not to let it happen, but knew all too well of what might happen if they tried to stop it. There, they must have spent hours crying within one another's arms. They spent hours, crying over what might have been. The future they had together with this future child... was all for naught. They could not have the child be murdered.

They hatched a plan to meet with it the day before they sent it. In secret, both of them looked at the egg, cried, and held it tightly. One day, they might be reunited, and watch the world go by, but... that day was far far away, they knew. With two kisses upon the egg’s shell, they gave it one last act of love, before they fled, making sure that there was no evidence that the egg was ever touched, held, or anything of the like.

Before long, it was discovered that the royalty cat have conceived a child, and the commoner cat was put to death after the question of the mystery parent was solved. Before the commoner cat died, he held his tiny handcuffed hands together, looked to the royal cat, and smiled. The only words he mouthed were “He will be loved.”

This is Salvadore’s origin.
