II. APPEARANCE

General Appearance: Ja'Navi is an incredibly large, athletic Exceed matched physically only by the elite Exceed warriors. He has a long, golden blonde mane with several braids. Ja'Navi's long face is almost always stagnant, as he refuses to show emotion except around those he trusts. His posture is always standing tall with a firm, proud posture.
Ja'Navi will never be seen without his necklace which was given to him by his mother upon being sent to the military academy on Edolas. Since his abandonment of the military, he adopted a more primitive attire which consists mostly of hide armor. Upon the Exceed's departure of Edolas, Ja'Navi received his family's Coat of Arms which he has adorned to his armor and wears around his waist.
Extra: Ja'Navi has the branding of a deserter on his face and a mangled tail.
III. PERSONALITY
Personality: Ja'Navi has become quite a unique, and peculiar fellow over the years. His desire for instant gratification has lead to many flaws in his personality and hurt many people along the way. While Ja'Navi was in Edolas, these selfish acts were not often punished -- but Ja'Navi has learned that humans don't think as highly of Exceeds on Earth Land.
Ja'Navi believes in self-preservation rather than relying on other entities to help and feels that anarchy would likely benefit him greatly. Due to this rebellious view on life, he is not a fan of rules & regulations as they can often interfere with his power-hungry, lustful, and greedy goals. However, Ja'Navi found that using his magic within a guild is much more likely to give greater returns quicker, and decided to bite the bullet and finally join one.
When it comes to battle, Ja'Navi will not back down and embraces any challenge that may cross him. Nothing is more comforting to Ja'Navi than picking up his broken sickle and charging head-first at a foe. Although Ja'Navi has had his ass kicked several times over the years, he refuses to believe that anyone is stronger. In his mind, he can take on anybody and any challenge -- but taking on challenges of a similar difficulty to his grade is found to be the most efficient and quickest way to reach his goals.
Ja'Navi is apathetic by nature and has been this way since his rough childhood. While most people try to look at Ja'Navi to find a soft side, the only times that people have come close to reaching this is when Ja'Navi's horny nature takes over and he does what he feels necessary to get what he wants.
Likes:
- Battle: Ja'Navi is obsessed with battle, and continued to seek fights even after leaving the Edolas Military. Ja'Navi seeks battle as a means of self-worth and improvement.
- Sex: Ja'Navi loves sex... a little too much at times. It can be especially difficult since Ja'Navi is not necessarily interested in other exceeds - but rather prefers humans. On Edolas, this was not necessarily a problem considering the human's divine views of Exceeds, but he is now finding it rather difficult to find a mate on Earth Land.
- Simplicity: Ja'Navi has never been a fan of puzzles, or really anything complex. If he can't solve it with strength, he will get frustrated quickly.
- Hearty Food: Whether it is a meat & potato stew, a rotisserie chicken, or a simple burger -- Ja'Navi loves his protein.
Dislikes:
- Military: Although it was Ja'Navi's greed that made him abandon the military rather than any action they took -- he has held the branding against them as he was unable to return to his parents after being initially captured.
- Heavy Armor: Ja'Navi does not believe in heavy armor and does not like it when people wear it around him. He believes it is cowardice and a lack of skill that makes people wear plated armor.
- Fruit: "Fruit is the devil. Nothing is further away from meat than fruit" - Ja'Navi
- Water Magic: While Ja'Navi understands that he cannot remove water from this world (even if he may wish it), he cannot stand water magic users as he fears he will always get drenched by them.
Motivations: Ja'Navi is driven primarily by three things: Money, Power, and Sex. As he goes on his adventures, he is primarily driven by what he sees as a cycle -- preceded by money. Once he completes his jobs or freelance work, he then looks towards spending it on better magic, a better weapon, or something for his status. Once he has this status, he proceeds to move towards pursuing women. Since Ja'Navi is still relatively new to Earth Land, he doesn't quite understand yet that a woman's heart is not so easy to obtain.
Fears:
- Oceans - Nothing is more scary to Ja'Navi than being completely engulfed in water, with no land in sight. So far, on Earth Land, Ja'Navi has been able to completely avoid the ocean... however, his pride will conflict with his fear of the ocean in case of a good job opportunity.
- Poverty - Ja'Navi grew up in a poor family and a bad area, which is a situation he never wishes to experience again. On top of that, Ja'Navi believes that it could potentially leave him powerless again and force him into a life of celibacy.
Positive Traits (+16 Total):
- Acrobatic (+3): You have excellent body awareness and coordination.
- Athletic (+3): You have a knack for athletic endeavors.
- Enhanced Strength (+3): Your character is slightly stronger than other characters when it comes to physical strength.
- Fortitude (+3): You are tougher than normal. You can take more hits than the regular Joe.
- Zealot [One-Handed Sickle] (+4): This person has trained themselves to wield a specific type of weapon. This weapon can be mentioned behind the Zealot feat within brackets to claim it upon approval.
Negative Traits (-16 Total):
- Aloof (-1): Your manner is cold and unapproachable, distancing you from friends and strangers alike. Your preternatural intelligence lends itself to viewing others as slow-witted and a waste of your precious time. Your charisma is lowered.
- Ambitious (-1): You crave power. Money is nice, but being in charge of other people is your favorite thing. You are likely to be brought down by attempting a risky grab for power and failing. Even when deals are risky you will give in and agree most of times.
- Arrogant (-1): You firmly believe that you are better than anyone else is. Your ideas are the best, your clothes are the most stylish, and you have to let everyone else know how much better you are. Once in a while you openly show contempt or disdain for someone else.
- Branded (-2): You have fled for a crime committed and now have a prominent brand. You may have been a criminal, a slave, or some other such illicit individual. The brand is such that it cannot be easily covered, and a cursory search reveals it each time. Law enforcement agents of any lawful land will immediately take you into custody if they see the mark, for extradition or imprisonment. It is your choice as to whether or not you were falsely accused of the crime.
- Bravado (-2): You are rash in combat, refusing to show weakness by falling back from your enemies' blows. You either face it and stop it, or get hit in the progress. In addition, you cannot fight defensively.
- Compulsive Honesty (-2): You cannot tell a lie, nor can you behave in a deceitful fashion. You tend to be blunt rather than tactful, even if it means insulting someone who you and your companions are trying to impress.
- Curiosity (-1): You're a naturally curious person and you find mysteries of any sort irresistible. In most circumstances, alas, your curiosity overrides your common sense.
This forces you to investigate something unusual, even if it looks like it might be dangerous. - Greedy (-1): Money makes your eyes light up with joy. The more, the merrier, as long as it spends. Once in a while, whenever you're divvying up shares of the loot, being offered a hefty bribe, or catching wind of some fabulous treasure, the flaw can to convince you to grab for as much money as possible.
- Hedonistic (-1): You love a good time. You party too much, drink too much, and eat too much. You have trouble resisting an invitation to join someone in a drink and sometimes shirk your duty if offered a more enjoyable time elsewhere. Whenever a good time is presented you let your guard. You're also not capable to resist seduction of any sort. It's just not in your nature to resist such opportunities.
- Intolerance (-1): You have an irrational dislike of a certain thing. It may be an animal, a class of person, a situation, or just about anything at all. Note that some dislikes may be too trivial or ridiculous to count--a dislike of Bavarian-crème-filled donuts or mechanical pencils, for example, has no real dramatic value and will not be allowed. [Intolerant of Water Mages]
- Lecherous (-1): You have a lusty nature and a tendency to pursue the pleasures of the flesh. A woman or a man (however your tastes run) is an almost irresistible temptation to you. You give in to these temptations easily.
- Reckless (-1): You lack the emotion of fear. Unfortunately, it is often an important cue that keeps men from doing foolhardy things. Sure, you don't flinch at the sight of even the most hideous monster, but neither do you feel the need to run away when outclassed.
- Righteous (-1): The end justifies the means. You are willing to perform morally repugnant actions in order to achieve noble goals. Unfortunately, this can alienate those people who might support your cause if you didn't use such heavy-handed methods.
IV. MAGIC
Magic: Wind
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Ja'Navi uses a wind magic which he discovered shortly after his arrival on Earth Land; however, since Ja'Navi was always used to fighting on Edolas without magic, he tends to use it in unorthodox ways -- to buff his physical attacks. Although Ja'Navi cannot use his wings to fly, he has been known to use his wind magic to give the appearance that he can, although he quickly depletes his mana when performing this feat. While Ja'Navi has some skill directly in wind magic, his primary usage is only to empower his physical attacks that he values so greatly. He has shirked away all opportunities to learn any kind of defensive wind magic, which many consider him a fool for.
Strengths: Ja'Navi's magic strength lies primarily within buffing his own physical strength. Ja'Navi is focused on getting in melee range and beating his enemies to a pulp. Although he cannot fly with just his wings, he can use his wind magic to propel himself into the sky, dominating aerial battles. Ja'Navi also excels in taking advantage of those who are clumsy, as he sometimes uses his wind to attempt to knock his foes off-balance. Ja'Navi's wind magic can also be used to add force to his shield bashes, knocking lightweight opponents off their feet.
Weaknesses: The weakness of this type of wind magic lies in the stubborn offensive-mindedness of the spell set as well as water magic. Often times, enemies will use long-range attacks on Ja'Navi before he can reach them or even making it more difficult to reach them by means of water magic. Ja'Navi has a hard time controlling his body when water magic users are around, since he is all offensive and the water magic makes surfaces slick, making wind more difficult to move as it must carry the water in it, and even psychological due to his fear.
V. HISTORY
History: Ja'Navi was born grew up as the oldest of many Exceeds in his family. Ja'Navi's father left when he was still young, so he was left to try and fulfill the father-figure role for the younger Exceeds... a goal of which he failed miserably. Ja'Navi went so over-the-top with the manly Exceed act, that he lost himself at some point and never learned how to come back to a normal, balanced life. Since he showed exceptional promise in the fighting arts, Ja'Navi's mother sent him to the Exceed Military Academy to prepare for a better future.
Ja'Navi trained day in-day out for several years at the academy, until he finally graduated near the top of his class in the fighting arts while showing below average performance in the academic courses. From here, Ja'Navi spent only a couple of months on the front lines of the battles before he ran into a group of mercenaries. Although the mercenaries were on Ja'Navi's side, he felt compelled to fight them as he felt the need to show his alpha nature. The leader of the group 'humbled' Ja'Navi within a few strikes... but once he woke up from the beating, he was offered a position of bruiser within the mercenary's ranks. Ja'Navi's eyes lit up once he saw the contracts that he would run into in this line of work, and seized the opportunity without a second thought.
Unfortunately, for Ja'Navi, the mercenary work only lasted a couple of months as they made quick work of the jobs available. These couple of months were some of the best in Ja'Navi's life between all of the feasts, battles, and women. Once the contracts were no longer there, Ja'Navi tried to return to the military only to be branded as a deserter. The military tattooed Ja'Navi's face, mangled his wings, and tossed him off the floating islands falling to the land of the humans. For the next decade, Ja'Navi lived as an outlaw on Edolas with the humans that continued to worship him despite his banishment from the land of Exceeds. Ja'Navi grew increasingly bitter of the military and other Exceeds as time passed by.
One day, the Exceeds on Edolas were suddenly sent to Earth Land, of which Ja'Navi came across his family for the first time in over a decade. Ja'Navi's mother was so filled with glee to find him alive and well that she adorned him with the family's coat of arms which he proceeded to wear around his waist. However, it was not long before Ja'Navi continued his life of solitude away from the other Exceeds as they disdained him as much for being a deserter as he did them for banishing him.
Shortly after his first job on Earth Land, he discovered the new magical power of wind that he had obtained. While Ja'Navi freelanced for a short time, he quickly found that jobs given to guilds were much more valuable and honored, which quickly drew his attention. Luckily for Ja'Navi, he was in Magnolia when this enlightenment came over him.
